Floyd's moniker is TBE. The Best Ever. The reason for that is because he fought the top rated ww or super ww, who was willing to face him, every single fight, for a decade.

He made only $35 million against Berto. lmao. Also, Showtime more than made their money on that deal. They made over $20 million for the Canelo fight alone. And even more than that for Pac. And then over $40 million for Mayweather-McGregor.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the reason HBO no longer shows boxing and Showtime does show boxing.

The only reason Mayweather would ever agree to fight would be for easy money without too much commitment or risk. Whether these guys used his name intentionally or not, they have got immense promotion for their fighter and their name brand. It actually shows you are big the Mayweather name is.
