Usyk is a brilliant fighter and deserves his p4p ranking, wherever you have him in the top 5.
But, he and his people have to understand that the Joshuas, Ortizes, Wilders, and Furys of the world are not going to fight him the way Tony just did.
They will come at him, doing chin checks early and often.
And they bring a helluva lot more firepower than the stuff that kept Usyk baffled for 5 or 6 rounds.
If he wants to get paid, sure fight a top heavy.
But, I promise you, it will shorten his career.

It's funny how every time certain boxers win, and by KO, they are called overrated hypejobs. It's as if a boxer ever loses a single round, they are a hypejob, UNLESS, they meet certain criteria. I guess, whatever floats the boat but these heavies better pay attention because Usyk is going to put dudes in check.

Maybe Usyk's still a really good fighter but is overrated at the moment as he picked up a lot of the usual bandwagon fans recently?
And maybe Bellew is highly underrated as a boxer because he is easy to chit on?
Amazed how people would laugh at the suggestion that Bellew would present much more problems than Gassiev, and that styles make fights .
Just more reasons to not take people's 'educated' opinions on here seriously all the time. So many new fans that DKSAB and root for who's hot at the minute.
Usyk ain't invincible - did they watch the Hunter fight? The Mchunu fight? The Breidis fight? He is a very good all round boxer with a flashy style, but flash doesn't equal substance all the time as any experienced boxer/boxing fan would know.
Anyway, a solid win for Usyk, and a good (as I expected) effort from Bellew. Hopefully this calms the hype down a bit though, I have watched Usyk from before he was popular and we all knew he was a great talent, but we saw he wasn't some one of a kind monster from some movie script.

Let’s see how Usyk does in his first fight, give him someone like Hughie Fury

But yes. Skill wise it’s not really a contest but they’re just too big and strong. It’s a different game and pace up there.
If he can drag em in to the late rounds though...I’m interested.
Perfectly said .
