And Jr should help the ticket sales though I'd probably have put it on PPV as it would help the buys. Though again, the issue with that is the guarantees for Wilder/Fury.
u are seriously over valuing Chavez Jr. Look at his fight vs Fonfara at Stubhub. The place was half empty. Same for his fight vs reyes. Even his rematch with Vera was very empty.

Chavez doesn’t sell many tickets anymore and with the exception of the Canelo fight fight his ratings aren’t great anymore either.

Plus he’s fighting at 345 pm. Staples will be empty at that time.

Nah, Jr still has value. He's not expected to be the main event here. But putting the fight so early obviously diminishes his value on the card plus doesn't help the PPV buys one bit.

But again, his purse isn't going to come cheap. Dude was one of the highest PBC fighters for a while and then made some nice coin against Canelo.

The main event is great. Chavez is this under achiever who has seen better days and Angulo was completely shot many beatings ago.

jr has almost no value. He already lost his drawing power years ago. That’s why us Mexicans stopped buying tickets or watching him on tv. Then we gave him a chance for redemption versus Canelo and when we put up that pathetic showing we wrote him off forever.

All Haymon has done is mismanage and lose money on Chavez. Top rank took him to the pinnacle and Haymon got him ktfo in his first fight on pbc. True story.

Chavez v angulo...wtf?? I thought both of these guys were retired...one due to being **** and the other due to being found out as being an overhyped (even by Mexican standards) spoiled heir to greatness who can't win a fight if he doesn't have a 20 pound weight advantage. Say what you will about canelo (and I'm not a fan), but at least he takes representing Mexico, in probably its highest profile sport, seriously. Chavez is just a bum who gets paid ridiculous amounts just to turn up. Yeah he should beat angulo, but if this sells any tickets it shows a serious issue with Mexican boxing.

We shall see if he has no money. Canelo has only done a million plus buys with three fighters: Mayweather/Golovkin......And Chavez Jr. Now, Jr hasn't fought since then and that was seen as a disgraceful performance on his part, but he's a name nonetheless.

Jr sucks, eventually against any of the PBC top guns he was going to get beat up. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't get to Stevenson or any other top guy since he lost to Fonfora. Now, he had no business fighting at LHW, but that is what happens when you don't take your career serious.

This Stevenson vs Gvozdyk is the only fight Im looking forward to at the moment. And as much as I can't stand Chavez jr I hope he puts a beating on Angulo.

none of us Mexicans take Chavez serious. Haven’t for years. He did it to himself. He and Angulo won’t add much to ticket sales, viewship or anything else and pbc knows this. That’s why he’s on so early when they know he can’t help the poor tickets sales or even sale ppvs or boost ratings. Most Mexicans thought Chavez jr was humiliated into retirement by Canelo.
