By Keith Idec - Tony Bellew was enjoying semi-retirement, yet admittedly still "a lunatic" that loves to fight. Then his phone rang one day this summer while he was driving. His new wife, Rachael, was sitting in the car with him when his promoter, Eddie Hearn, called that afternoon. As soon as his mild-mannered wife started to hear Hearn tell her husband...

No reference should be made to the Haye fight. It’ll likely have no reference to the clinic that will be put on this weekend by Usyk.

I like Bellew and being a fellow Brit it’s easy to root for him.

I don’t have any Ukraine mates, or any affiliation with them I just want Usyk to win. The end

Bellew can't retire from boxing quick enough. He's the definition of a domestic level fighter with a manufactured title.

Looking at the photo I thought the headline was gonna be that the fight was off because Bellew had suffered a severe stroke.

When do we get the Bomber Bellew book or has that one come along already ?

Bellew has made a lot of money and can continue to do so on the speech and commentary circuit, he would be a fool to carry on after this, I do however hope we don’t look back on this fight and say he should have stopped after Haye, it’s a certainty he loses this fight only question to me is is he retired on his feet or does he go out in his back, I personally see Coldwell or the referee stopping it.

He’s the definition of working hard with what you’ve got ....now he’s loaded

Think of all the great talent over the years that are now broke with only a boshed nose and ego left

Bellew has done good even if you like the guy or not

it's always nice to read a positive comment about a fighter that's worked his butt off to get where he has, good job, now jog on.
