  • Comments Thread For: Wilder: If Klitschko Let Hands Go, Different Outcome With Fury

The biggest win of Tyson Fury's pro career was a twelve round unanimous decision over Wladimir Klitschko in November of 2015 to capture the WBA, IBF, IBO, WBO heavyweight titles. The victory was one of the biggest heavyweight upsets in the last decade. At the time Klitschko had been unbeaten for over 10 years and was heavily favored to win.

Couldn't let his hands go. Fury controlled the entire fight.

It’s easier said than done. What threw Wlad off was Fury’s movement, feints, hand speed, and underrated power. He landed just enough to earn Wlad’s respect, and his ability to control distance made it hard for Wlad to close the gap.

Wilder’s mindset seems all wrong here. The closer we get to the fight, the more I see him getting beat on points or maybe stopped late.

Been saying this since it happened. The Klitschko that fought Joshua would have beaten Fury too, he had a more attack/risk taking approach.

True, Wladdy would have been ko'd instead of decisioned due to fatigue. Wladdy always had a stamina and a chin issue. This is why his style changed after Steward took over as his trainer. Also why he went a decade without losing. Tie up, clinch, save energy. Wlad couldn't land on Fury. He threw plenty of right hands that were dodged or slipped. End of story

Everyone knows that Wlad doesn't throw punches if his footwork isn't set. Fury didn't let him.

Tyson Fury threw more power-punches than jabs against Klitschko, indeed surprising. Wladimir and Tyson threw a identical amount of jabs ( Klitschko 162 - Fury 169 ).

Conclusion, Wladimir is not a hooker or body-puncher, hes limited in offense ; Fury had neutralized Wladimir's jab and had more variety in his arsenal.

This same strategy will work for Deontay December the 1st. Fury's jab will be nullified, when the big-stiff hunchback idiot understands that hes going to need to get in a fire-fight to win the rounds, hes getting sparked-out! BOMBSQUAD!!!

Everyone, literally everyone, knows it's true, yet Fury fans won't come to terms with it because takes away from the legend they're trying to create. If the guy was so in control, why did he barely land anything against a guy who wasn't punching??

(and, no I won't be checking back for replies because I have already heard the same unconvincing BS from you guys for 3 years now).

Yea, AJ got the more inspired, tougher Wlad to deal with. Those people saying he was shopworn at that point need to be quiet.
