I'm not giving Mikey credit for being an idiot. He is going to get battered in there, it's a mismatch. I would give him credit if he faced the best in his own division and one of the p4p best, Vasyl Lomachenko. But I guess losing to Spence is easier to explain than losing to Loma

I agree it is easier to explain than losing to Loma. I personally prefer to see him fight Loma instead, but look forward to him fighting Spence also. I hope Spence absolutely pummels Garcia, and takes a chunk out of his ego. It will be a very good fight for the first half at least though. Mikey might surprise us all. Everyone thought Mosley was crazy jumping from 135 to 147. Same for other past greats like Duran, even Pac vs DLH. At least Mikey fought at 140 in 2 of his last 3.

As far as the Loma fight, Mikey's hate for Arum probably had something to do with him not fighting Loma.

Porter knew he was going to have to rematch Thurman. Wow, Porter said he wanted Spence right after the WBC ordered a rematch with Thurman! And a fight with Berto! That must mean he really wants to fight Spence! Or that he knows he has to fight Thurman and Berto so it doesn't matter who he says he wants.
