Hold on now....Lets get the facts straight. It was Mikey Garcia that called out Spence, without any encouragement from his own team, or anyone else wanting to "use" him.

Spence simply accepted the challenge. Mikey is a big name, with great skills. Give Mikey credit for daring to be great. No one is using him. This is all his doing. When you fight two of your last three fights at 140, you can't really say you are only a lightweight.

Spence should tell Mikey to **** off and fight Porter instead. That can still be an option.

If it was an option, it would be happening. Spence would have jumped on a unification fight absolutely over a fight with Mikey.

I agree it is easier to explain than losing to Loma. I personally prefer to see him fight Loma instead, but look forward to him fighting Spence also. I hope Spence absolutely pummels Garcia, and takes a chunk out of his ego. It will be a very good fight for the first half at least though. Mikey might surprise us all. Everyone thought Mosley was crazy jumping from 135 to 147. Same for other past greats like Duran, even Pac vs DLH. At least Mikey fought at 140 in 2 of his last 3.

As far as the Loma fight, Mikey's hate for Arum probably had something to do with him not fighting Loma.
