lol. First Ward outed g for his cowardice and then he straight stole Kov's soul! I guess when you destroy the legacy and reputation of two guys that big, the haters will never forgive you.

I don't see Ward coming out of retirement. He had talked of fighting AJ and I could see that, Ward would have a good chance of outboxing Joshua for 12 rounds. But Usyk is probably going to beat him to it. Now Usyk with the WBA and IBF heavyweight titles, that could draw Ward back to the ring. It is only about legacy at this point for Ward. If he ever runs low on $$$ he can always sell Kovalev's soul.

As for Callum Smith, most people think that is some kind of apple or fish or something like that.

I used to like Ward a lot but I hate how people have turned him into some saint. He's a really good fighter, there's no doubt about that but he's somehow elevated to some crazy status. I remember before the Kovalev fight how easily he was supposed to be this robotic, euro/Russian style guy who had only beaten Pascal and a 50 year old Hopkins. Didn't look to be on that level after their first fight and wasn't dominating Kov in the 2nd fight. Was Kov probably done? yeah. Has crazier things happened? yeah. I still feel a bit curious as to why Ward's back was a little more marked up than I've ever seen it, considering he was more bulked that fight. He's a great commentator and knows his stuff, but he's not free from having his own amount of bull****.

If Ward comes back it will be a one-off fight at CW - and that's a massive IF as he'd only fight whoever has the belts. If Usyk beats Bellew as expected he'll go straight to HW, and if Bellew wins he'll owe Usyk a rematch or he'll retire - he wouldn't be able to fight Ward next.
Callum Smith should concentrate on the other champs at 168 before moving up to 175 in a year or 2. He has the height to go up to CW at the end of his career but needs to be able to fill his frame out gradually over time or he won't be able to take the power of someone like Dorticos or Gassiev.

Ward retired because his guarantees from Roc Nation ran out when they lost millions of dollars every time he stepped in the ring. Ward never sold tickets and if he fought Froch in UK, that decision would have been different.
Funny how he can’t stop talking about GGG because he needs GGG name to keep himself relevant.
Ward couldn’t even make 168 when he tried to call out GGG to build his name and Kovo was never on a world class level.
Ward would get crushed by Usyk or Bivol, but keeps using GGG name to try to stay relevant.
He could have fought GGG in 2013 but picked easy fight with Edwin Rodriguez instead. Never fought at 168 again, but keeps mentioning GGG to stay relevant and keep his “retired” name in the news

What the hell is this revisionist history. Kov was p4p #2 or 3 when ward fought him. Kov record at the time was better than ggg. Higher ko rate, he just killed someone in the ring, beat an old but still good Hopkins, Pascal. Ggg at that time had only fought bums.

ward couldn't make 168? Just because it was getting harder didn't mean its impossible. He wasn't 175 either. He moved up because he cleaned out 168! He won the super six. No one left. Ggg ducked. They have the emails to prove it. 45min to say no.

Ggg was calling ward out first! And ward said let's do it, they both with HBO, ggg said no way to protect his o. How is that so hard for you to understand?

Exactly. Ward had refused to allow Bute into the super 6 and then refused to unify with him after the super 6. Ward knows his style is only useful vs certain types of fighters which he can smother with his holding and headbutts.

Ward used that to foul Kessler, and when he could nullify Kovalev he used the low blows to blow him up.

One of the most dirty and cowardly fighters I've ever seen in boxing, not to mention a liar and fiend.

                      Ward used steroids

Ward was using steroids. He deliberately made it clear that only he can announce the rematch, which solely was for the purpose of him doing a cycle for three months, and when he tested clean , he announced the rematch.

This is a well known fact in the boxing community, but since the painted Kovalev as this racist Russian it was overlooked and excused. The low blows clearly was roid rage after the frustrated Ward couldn't put Kovalev down.

Ward was a very overrated fighter.
