I don't think it has been marketed poorly. I'm more conscious about it over selling in terms of hype and under delivering in quality.

I really wanted to see Lawrence Okolie v Matty Askin on the AJ/Pov undercard, there was enough hype about it but it was one of the worst fights I've seen.
oh jesus was it ever. I'll never get those minutes of my life back

Wilder could have had a real following that made him an actual player in the U.k by defeating Whyte but he didn't want that smoke and collect his highest pay day and its what ? Three million less then a fury fight.

Events don't have to be promoted through the fighters, they are promoted by the promoters who invest money in it besides going around selling the fight like commercials advertisements ..etc. Finkel and Co. are not good promoters, its just what it is. On top of that wilder may have a reputation in the hardcore circles but his style is not pleasing and wont be to casual viewers which is a major dent in itself, fury don't help either.

New York would have been better for sure. But your idea of two cards featuring both Fury and Wilder before they fight each other really sucks. As infrequently as boxers fight these days that would put their fight off for about 2 years. No Thanks. Wilder has always been a poorly managed and promoted boxer in my opinion. He fought way too many weak opponents and that hurt his popularity and credibility.

the fight has no business in LA. the barclays or somewhere in the UK would have been the best choice.

hate to say this but, i feel like wilder would be bigger if he was with top rank.

Can you please elaborate? I fail to see how a HW KO artist, a vicious one at that, is not pleasing to a casual boxing fan.

Waiting on a Wilder K.O to happen is like listening to chalk on a school board...No average person watching him is going to thrilled . they will see a guy not throwing many punches mostly moving around the ring waiting on opponents mistakes while seemingly having a difficult time in ugly fights .

Personally I like watching wilder because of the knockouts but that's if im watching video clips. his whole fights are not great to watch and are painfully not showing true boxing skills that are fluidly usually displayed. This is from the eyes of casuals they will not understand why he is a champion the way he fights .

He is very passive till the knockout, not an easy on the eyes for a boxing fan, not even mentioning casuals.

Thanks, I didn't see it that way.
