Comments Thread For: Cunningham Could See Fury Outboxing Wilder - Then Get KO'd

STEVE CUNNINGHAM came close to spoiling Tyson Fury's US debut back in 2013. Not many envisaged the former two-time world cruiserweight champion causing Fury much difficulty at Madison Square Garden. Yet, weighing 210 pounds, Cunningham sent the Gypsy King's 254-pound frame crashing to the deck with a sweeping overhand right in the second round of their bout.

Cunningham may have the Wilder result right but I watched the Cunningham fight and fury clowned and showboated in that fight till he got clocked. he didn't take Cunningham seriously at all but that was a lot better Fury looking at the Pianeta fight Fury looks well off form.

The Fury vs Cunningham fight should have been ruled a NC, or at least penalize Fury and give Cunningham recovery time. The same with Khan vs Judah.

Very little criticism is ever heard because people believe the result would have been inevitable anyway. Poor reason to throw out the rule book.

I hope Fury doesn't give Wilder one of his famous uppercuts.

He's just summed up the majority of Wilder's tenure as champ, let alone this one fight.

What Fury did against Steve was nothing unusual in US rings. Wilder does far worse things in almost every fight he has.

Compare these 2 clips .. Fury using a forearm to raise Steve's head when he tries to hold then hitting him - one of J C Chavez's favourite moves!

And Wilder breaking umpteen rules against Arreola .. hitting behind the ear and back of the head, hitting the opponent when he's down, holding the back of the head while landing an uppercut, etc, etc ..

The way Cunningham thinks Wilder will win is how i thought it would go against Wladimir but Fury surprised us that night,i do think Wilder is more likely 2 land that big shot than Wladimir tho becoz he will surely be more aggressive and determined than Wlad and Fury hasnt been in real fight in 3hrs.....
