I’ve got so much respect for Mikey doing what most wont. Even before accepting this fight I always spoke highly of him.

But I’m feeling quite a bit of ambivalence about this fight cause I like Mikey, and don’t wanna see him damaged to the extent where he’s never the same, like Kell Brook.

I personally think Brook is overrated but he would've been ok if he didn't drop back down to WW after GGG.

Thanks for the positive feedback bro.

Mikey is taking on a huge challenge vs. Spence Jr. , most expect Mikey to get destroyed quickly, but if he can pull off the upset , wow. I support Mikey for taking such a huge risk.

Brook was never overrated, anyone who can dismantled Porter like he did can’t be overrated.

He probably just got bored from dominating the UK boxing scene so easily, which caused him to make bad decisions like moving up too far and too fast at a chance to fight GGG.

He seemed to get a swollen head, started to think he was Superman, and therefore started taking irresponsible risks

Good stuff bro. This is a very dangerous fight for Mikey , a fight he didn't have to take , but he demanded it and got it done , for legacy & for the fans. Huge risk huge reward type of fight. He is definitely gonna take some punishment, but I think he has a way better chance at beating Spence & not getting damaged then Brook had with Golovkin.

              • Knowing Mikey and Robert, it's pretty ****** of him to have vacated his IBF title and not just took on his mando before the end of the year. The Spence fight could have still been made next, would have been understandable if it was made in January but not in March since Garcia last fight in July.

It will do more than Kov/Ward. Those two were never big ticket sellers. Kov always have to travel and take the short end of a deal because he never brought in fans. Ward could never sell away from Oakland. Not all boxing fans cared to see it either, Mexican fans didn't really care for that fight but they will support Mikey. Spence is from Dallas and Mikey has had Mexican support and Robert has a gym in San Antonio.

                  • This is how boxing is put on the mainstream map again. Will it break the Nelo-Smith record idk but at least they went ham & using the demographics in their favor to rake way more relevancy and money

                    • Huge fight, gotta recognize mikey's courage for taking such a difficult challenge.

Mikey is an elite fighter but I still think that Spence punching is brutal and will eventually stop Mikey.
