It’s easy to think that all Wilder has to do is throw more punches than Wladimir did but it’s easier said than done.

Clearly, Fury hits harder than his record indicates otherwise fighters would walk through him but they can’t.

Everyone seems to think "Wlad didn't throw" "he was gun shy" "he just had to throw more right hands". They never think about what Fury was doing to stop Wlad throwing.

You allude to his power and you're right. He doesn't ever load up or throw bombs, that's not his style, but he has enough pop to get respect.

The real reason Wlad didn't throw was because he has to feel comfortable and in range to throw. He doesn't over commit and is scared of counters which is why he always used to jab and grab. Fury never let him set his feet or feel set and in range. His feints, footwork, upper body movement, switching and changing angles always kept Wlad off balance and confused. He just can't throw in that state. The only reason he threw in the 12th was because Peter Fury told Tyson to try and knock him out and Fury held his ground.

It still amazes me how many people do not understand that it was Fury that caused Wlad to act that way during the fight. He controlled him the whole way through.

Fury is pillow fisted compared to AJ so that theory doesn't hold up. Movement certainly contributed to it but it's funny how people ignore that Fury barely landed any punches either. It was a very cautious and slow paced fight from both guys. Fury fans that try to ignore the fact that Wlad was strangely cautious against Jennings before this and then suddenly balls to the wall with AJ are just being fanboys.

Wlad was mentally broken and gunshy in the Fury fight. He got over most of that before he fought AJ. If Wlad could see his mistake and correct it in the AJ fight, then he may have something to offer Wilder.

I think that maybe Fury and AJ being two completely different people explains why Wlad looked better against one than he did against the other.

Hahaha. Come on, if you are really referencing him uppercutting himself or getting dropped with the Fury of today then you really have no clue, or are just trying to be a troll.

Personally I just don't think you understand the subtle nuances of what he does, you can't see it because you don't know about it and can't contextualise it. But don't just take my word for it, listen to anyone who has sparred against him talk about him and listen to their judgement as professional fighters who have experienced it first hand.

Did you watch Wlad vs Jennings?

Wlad was cautious because he was fighting on Jenning's turf and the ref wouldn't allow him to do his usual jab and grab routine.

And cautious or not, he did beat Jennings convincingly, btw.

Clearly, his state of mind was different against AJ because he had nothing to lose by then. And the reason he had nothing to lose was that Fury had already beaten him, on his own turf.

While what you said is mostly true, let's not forget that Fury himself barely threw any punches and missed most of the ones he threw anyway.
