Well at least they were very effective because it worked for him. His style was so awkward and when you add in the weird angles, footwork and the fact that he was also a southpaw. It made it almost impossible to defend against.

i haven't seen any of his fights are they good? i've only seen the last 5 seconds when he's slapping at air and the fights are stopped. you think that might taint my view of him?

No matter how you scored his fight with Hopkins though it was still neck and neck so even if you had Hopkins winning Joe was still very much in the fight.

That is honestly one of the worst fights to watch ever though. It's criminally hard to score with all the nonsense that went on...holding, low output, blocked/missed punches, weak/soft landing punches.
