they are only tournaments
like the WBSS..... not like the WBC/WBA/WBO/IBF
their supposed prestige is irrelevant when the tournament ends
they are not sanctioning organisations, and they do not mandate
the winner will only be recognized as a champion if he picks up an ABC belt along the way
there is no similarity that should be drawn
look, here is the problem.....
recognize whoever you like, it matters not..... the reason why, is because there is no structure..... so, your opinion (that the WBC are the best) means absolutely nothing, and nor does the opinion of the WBC..... because, the WBA/WBO/IBF still exist, and are still individually recognized as one of 4 major sanctioning organisations
the problem is not your opinion, you are allowed to have an opinion..... just like me
the problem is..... that our opinions are meaningless/worthless..... our opinions carry even less weight than the worthless opinions of each of the 4 recognized sanctioning bodies individually
the four sanctioning bodies would need to be equally undermined for that to change
there is no way the WBA/WBO/IBF can be removed, without also removing the WBC.... and seriously, why would anybody want to do that anyway..... if someone could remove 3 of the 4 major sanctioning bodies, they could also remove the 4th..... and would obviously do so

Imo the real problem is that there’s too many belts and there’s no mandatory status for champions to fight each other. Only if they want to do they fight.
If that changes then many things can change in boxing

The real problem is the backdoor dealings between ABC organizations, promoters, and networks. Promoters being the primary worst. In most sports there is a common goal to making money and crowning one champion. Boxing competes against itself, scheduling fights on different networks through different promoters. Hell, they won't even mention a fighter who boxes on a different network. Ideally there should only be 1 belt at each weight class, with fighters fighting on multiple networks. In football just because your in the AFC, doesn't mean you cant play a game on FOX against an NFC opponent. To many hands in the boxing cookie jar, and unless its profitable for the promoters it isn't going away.

Tournaments are held in boxing all the time. Four fighters fight eliminators, the winners fight a final eliminator, the winner fights the champion.

tennis has a ranking system, and a governing body
wimbledon is just a tournament
same as golf, etc, etc, etc
winning a major does NOT make you number one
ranking system, governing body, blah, blah
the ABC's are not 4 tournaments, they are 4 governing bodies

Many sports have multiple championships. Some more respected than others. That's life.
no
it bothers me that some pimple-faced idiot runs around insisting that they are..... when it is clearly obvious to anyone with a brain, that they are not
they were at one point
but then again, The Ring was more prestigious than the WBC at one point, and are likely held in higher regard by most even now
fcuk off fool, with your obvious agenda
not sure who pays you to make a fool of yourself, and I don't really care..... but you are talking to an actual knowledgeable fan dude, so go peddle that filth somewhere else
the shltty WBA have more/better champions than the shltty WBC
stop living in the past
everyone knows that We Be Crooks are shlt
