Pretty much... I think, It's a chance for Hurd to look good while winning in remarkable fashion all the while marketing his skill set to US and UK audiences for his future 2019 matchup

They're essentially killing 3 birds with one stone:

1. Makes sure shoulder is repaired

Yep, and to be fair I actually have seen very little criticism of a man I have in my personal P4P list. One of my favorite quotes is from Lincoln when members of his Civil War cabinet wanted him to fire Ulysses S. Grant because he drank too much.
