The only fight this guy has against anyone relevant is a KO loss to Peter Quillin in 2015. The rest of his fights are against guys I've never heard of in Australia, which as far as Anglophone countries go has a weak competitive boxing scene. He's fought outside of Australia twice and has lost both times.
If Hearn really wanted to get a stay-busy fight for Brook, he should have brought back Hassan Mwakinyo, the guy who shocked Sam Eggington on the undercard of the Lewis Ritson fight in Birmingham a couple of months ago. That guy was screaming that he wanted Kell Brook after that fight. You could also argue that he's not on Brook's level either, but at least he has that memorable destruction of Eggington fresh in the minds of the Sky viewers to somewhat legitimise the fight. Too live a body to consider?
At this point it's kind of sad to think how Brook was seriously in contention for being considered the top welterweight not that long ago. Ever since he took that kamikaze fight against Golovkin he's become something of a joke.
