Fury was getting outboxed by Steve Cunningham

I Agree and you are absolutely right. Fury's strategy for this fight is to simply avoid getting hit and running out the clock; Just as he did in the Klitschko fight. His plan is to try to take Wilder's title away by playing a game of keep away and not engaging.
However, it wonder matter though, because once Deontay closes that gap and starts touching Fury; Watch how as he had done previously in the Steve Cunningham fight, resort to dirty roughhousing tactics, like leaning his weight on him by holding and wrestling.
Leaning weight on someone is not illegal, you know what is ?
Punching behind the head ( something Wilder has mastered fluidly ) making contact with wrist and forearms when swinging as well......
All that wont work this time bc its something the referee will be looking at closely and against a bigger guy those illegal punches wont work or wont be so easy to do.
The thread itself shows just how oblivious the wilder fanboys are bc if we went on actual guys getting out boxed and dropped ( being saved by bells too) which happened to wilder twice now well who is actually looking like the worst here ? lol
Really you guys have no logical thought process at all.Comment

Cunningham was on his way out anyway. A bodyshshot just before illegal ko had cunningham on the brink of being stipped. The most pathetic thing I remember from the Cunningham fight was when Fury held his forearm over Cunningham's eyes and delivered a big punch that Cunningham couldn't see that caused the KO.
Fury's immitation of Ali, trying to shuffle his feet and jab like Ali is hilarious. A big oaf looking awkward as heck. Slick boxer? lmao If he tries the rope a dope immitation vs Wilder he will be KO'd for sure.
Cunningham wasn't a slicker boxer just faster. I think ali was having trouble with light heavyweight before stopping him. I think his name was bob foster. I think ali had trouble with faster fighters sometimes even against cooperLast edited by hugh grant; 11-05-2018, 07:02 AM.Comment

You're damn wrong about Fury's skills, they matured lot during his career.stop with this fury is this atg slick boxer who can't be touched BS.
I've watched the Steve Cunningham fight and Fury went into that fight trying to box with Steve. Cunningham was outboxing him, making FUry miss, and countering him.
It was until about round 3-4 that Fury realized he was losing the boxing match and then literally came forward with two hands up like a tank and used the weight advantage.
Fury isn't this slick boxer you're making him out to be.
Fury fights off his back foot and he won't be able to to that successfully vs Wilder because Wilder is more athletic, he has faster hands and feet, and he has the power to make Fury not throw punches.
Fury is getting sparked out 100%
Fury was getting better each fight before his "burn out".
The Fury who beat Klit isn't the same Fury who punched himself with an uppercut and struggled with McDermott.
The Fury who looked "so so" versus Cunningham was btw both.
What's left of Fury remains to be seen.Comment

Those were the fights that made Fury what he was before the Wlad klitchko fight. You learn with those fights, using it to judge him now is irrelevant. The fact that after almost 3 years out doing drugs, drinking and depressed, he only had two fights on his comeback would have more impact than the fact that Cunningham was outboxing him years ago.Comment

I think it is disrespectful to Ali, to even put Ali's and Fury's name in the same sentence.Cunningham was on his way out anyway. A bodyshshot just before illegal ko had cunningham on the brink of being stipped.

Fury admitted last week on the Joe Rogan interview that Cunningham was outboxing him and so he had to change his style and overpower him. He said that Cunningham is the best fighter he ever faced in his whole career as a pro or amateur.
