Because loma and mikey are about the same size rather than spence being like king kong compared to mikey? Didn't even read the op
Why do people talk differently about Spence-Mikey than they do about Mikey-Loma?

Claiming Garcia weighs about the same as Golovkin does on fight night? You're a joke. They're both the same thing. When Mikey-Loma was first being marinated, Loma was at featherweight, Mikey was at lightweight, a two division difference. When Spence-Mikey first started being built up, Mikey was at lightweight, Spence was at welterweight, two divisions apart. More recently as both fights have been talked about more, Loma moved up to 130, one division below Mikey, and Mikey moved up to 140 for two fights, one division below Spence.
It's the exact same thing. And when you compare actual natural size, the size difference between Loma and Mikey is much bigger than the size difference between Mikey and Spence. Mikey was sparring Maidana at Oxnard like 5 years ago back when he was weight bullying at featherweight. Recently at the start of his Lipinets camp he said he weighed 170 pounds. Loma recently at the start of his said he weighed 143, and that's after he bulked up in the time since Mikey-Lipinets. If you compare at the time, it's probably 170 to 140 flat, which is a 30 pound difference. So unless Spence starts camp at 200 lbs or more, which in this day and age of weight bullies is actually possible but quite unlikely, then the size advantage Mikey has over Loma is actually bigger than the size advantage Spence has over Mikey. That Loma would likely still be favored over Mikey, and that Loma-Mikey is seen as a legitimate fight despite the massive size difference but Mikey-Spence isn't, I think says a lot about the fans and the media's understanding of who the best fighter is in that trio, even the ones who won't admit it consciously. But to act like Mikey-Loma is a legitimate fight, when there is actually 30 pounds in natural size separating the two, or maybe 20 at minimum on Loma's heaviest day and Mikey's lightest, seems to suggest that either Loma is superman, or Mikey is overrated. Because that is an INSANE amount of weight at the low weights, and pretty much an unheard of amount to give up (in natural size, not necessarily ring weight) against a top P4P power counterpunching opponent.
One of Loma's first fights he weighed over 140 on fight night, he's got bigger since then. I don't know Garcia's fight night weight but i'm guessing no more than 150. Garcia will have a size advantage but nowhere near as big as you claim.Last edited by Robbie Barrett; 11-04-2018, 04:01 AM.Comment

Big guy will crush Loma, so Arum will not offer that fight and pay Mikey what he deserves, because his former victim will beat his current victim.

If a boxer makes weight he has followed the rules of boxing and bullied NOBODY. Weight bulling is just an excuse when a boxer somebody doesn't like keeps winning. The day before the fight weigh in was a bad idea but the rules are the same for all boxers. Your numbers are BS. Mikey is not naturally 30 pounds bigger than Loma or even 20 pounds bigger. Loma is the lightweight champion of the world and should be willing to fight the best guys who can make the 135 pound limit. If he is too small forThey're both the same thing. When Mikey-Loma was first being marinated, Loma was at featherweight, Mikey was at lightweight, a two division difference. When Spence-Mikey first started being built up, Mikey was at lightweight, Spence was at welterweight, two divisions apart. 135 then he should not fight at that weight. It's his choice. As a light weight champ Loma fighting Mikey at lightweight is a fair and logical fight to determine who is the best lightweight in the world. If Mikey is a few pounds heavier when they step in the ring so be it. If Mikey started a training camp at 170 pounds then he started training camp as a very fat boxer. It has nothing to do with anything. Mikey called out Spence loud and clear. Is Spence supposed to turn down that challenge? Hell no in my opinion. Mikey has a world title at 140. Mikey weighed 149 on fight night for his last fight and Spence weighed 156 on fight night for his last fight. I am OK with Mikey fighting Spence at 147 and I am also OK with Mikey fighting Loma at 135.Comment
