I am not dis*****g what you are saying because most what you are saying is true. It's a fact, that Oscar was a fan friendly and crowd pleasing fighter. In addition, he was a throw back fighter too. He always gave the fans the fights that they wanted to see and because of it, I admire and appreciate him for that.I think he hates what Floyd represents: achieving greatness through the path of least resistance.
He definetly doesn't envy Floyd's money, as Oscar has much more
Oscar was a warrior, he fought everybody, true beasts at their peak, ducked nobody. If Oscar had won all his fights and retired undefeated..heck, if he had won all his big fights alone, you would need to seriously consider him the GOAT
but he lost some, won some, that's what happens when you fight the best. Floyd on the other hand, fought in a much weaker era, and still ducked the real challenges that were out there for him, padded his record with belts taken from chumps and big names who weren't at their best, and retired undefeated as "TBE"
That's what Oscar probably hates, because he could have done the same as Floyd did...and won as much money while ducking and cherrypicking...and retire undefeated too...but he had respect for the sport and for the fans, Floyd didn't, and that's what irks him
Moreover, Oscar did take many more risks than May in the ring. He fought fighters that Mayweather wouldn't ever dreamed of fighting. With May it was always about the high risk/low reward business model and protecting his 0.
Also, I agree that Mayweather ducked Many more fighters in his career like: Antonio Margarito, Paul Williams and Amir Khan. Also, I don't count the guys he ducked who were not in his weight division against him because if they really wanted to fight, then they knew where to find him. It was at 147.
However, where we disagree is about Oscar's grudge towards Mayweather. It runs much deeper and far and beyond than that of a professional envy.
It's personal. For example; Oscar wishes him harm and ill will and that's not healthy. His hurt and anger towards Floyd is akin to someone who has injured a member of his family or someone he loves who is very close to him.
Oscar De La Hoya is very successful, rich and has too many good things going on in his life to be so obsessed with one man. Oscar is too weak to forgive so the only way this matter can be resolved is for Money May to take the high road and apologize in order to reconcile their differences.
Oscar is being eaten away and alive on the inside due to his personal hate grudge towards Floyd. Also, for the record, I woud like to correct an inaccuracy. Actually Money May has more money than De La Hoya.
For instance, Oscar's networth is about $200 mil. Whereas Floyd's networth is close to $600 mil.Comment

At this point in time hes probably right though... the way Floyd's been the past few years hasn't been good for the sport at all. And Floyd took a stab at DLH first so it was completely warranted... just like Canelo making him look like an insecure tool when Floyd went at him for signing a $350million contract.

REAL TALK Mayweather has always wanted to be ODLH and is secretly his biggest fan ever. Floyd has always had a resentment towards Oscar possibly for not making him his "Canelo" after all Lil' Floyd was on Oscar's undercards at age 28 still. (Charlo style)
Even becoming a mediocre promoter and not able to generate anything outside of himself.
Both are children for fighting online... But Floyd still dreams of being Oscar some day.Comment
