Had Brook ever fought at 154 prior to facing GGG like Mikey has at 140 (twice)? Moving up one weight class to prove yourself is not bs. He beat up 2 solid opponents Broner and undefeated Lipinets pretty bad at 140. So how is it bs that he’s moving up to 147? Just because he went back down and faced a champion Robert Easter? Floyd went up to 154 to face Oscar. Had Brook beat anyone at 154? You have to move up if you want to be great. What makes this fight bs? Explain

Lastly, Hurd is fighting everybody. Jermell Charlo is being protected like they want him to be the golden goose... Why, would you want someone like Jermell Charlo, Who walks through a casino dropping the n bomb left and right while throwing up gang signs, to be the golden goose over Hurd?

I can get so deep on that topic alone, but I'm not gonna go there

Hurd, like I told you when we spoke at the casino that time, I hope you beat the living schit out Charlo... You better handle your business, man
How exactly is Jermell Charlo being protected? Site me an example, not nonsense.

They have them on schedule for a Spring clash. Hurd requested a fight off of his injury against a right hander, then the Charlo fight.

I'm just wondering how Jermell Charlo is being protected. I don't recall him relinquishing any belts or dodging any fights. They told him to fight Lubin and he sparked him. They even had the press hyping Lubin (he was pushed as prospect of the year by ESPN) and the PBC team had Camera crews following the kid during fight week.

Andrade vacated when mandated to fight him too.

When has Charlo dodged a fight?

He's being protected for various reasons:

        1. Inability to try to unify with any other title holder outside of Hurd. No attempted negotiations with Mungia or nothing.

        2. Hurd has already beaten Trout and Harrison... Stopped one and knocked the other spark out. Why is Jermell running behind him fighting the same exact guys?

        3. Hurd unified with Lara. The most avoided and proven champ at 154 in recent years. If Charlo is going to fight someone Hurd already beat, why not try to fight Lara? From April until the time Charlo signed to fight Harrison/Trout, Lara called out Charlo to fight... Charlo never even responded.

And now that Hurd has done all the hard work to unify the belts and put his body through wear and tear, here comes Jermell coming in nice and fresh because while Hurd was doing the dirty work, Jermell was chillin. The Lubin fight was a good win, but you still have/had Lara available + a unification with Mungia... Charlo didn't try to make not one of those fights because he's content with sweeping up after Hurds smaller wins.

And as far as Mungia goes, there's no such thing as a fight can't be made because of network issues. The myth has been debunked too many times for me to remember

You and I both know Mungia can't beat those guys lol but whatever makes you feel better I guess

The kid is very green and sloppy. He'd get stopped by either Hurd or Charlo.

Spence would love to fight Lightweight Garcia but when it comes to 154... he's way too small. Spence is going out GGG style - going to stay in one division forever and just accept being ducked in his division rather than moving up to take on any challenges. Most of Spence's attributes are tied to him being so much bigger. He's definitely not that hard to hit.

Jermell is actually the better Charlo too all around and his power is getting better. He'd school Spence to me because Spence's power wouldn't be a threat to Jermell at '54.

Let's be real though. Spence doesn't want that smoke. Spence is having too much fun punking little Thurman and Crawford - making them squirm with excuses.

Anyone saying Jermell is being protected is just trolling. Jermell is the best fighter at '54 and would school Hurd. Hurd is stalling here and now mentioning a WW.

I'm pretty confident Spence WON'T stay at WW his entire career like GGG. He gets too heavy in between fights and will have to move up in probably a years time. If I had to guess, he will end up going all the way up to 160.

As for Jermell schooling Spence? Highly highly doubt it. By all accounts, looks like they have good sparring but Spence gets the better of him. I remember the Sky Sports TV crew did some feature on Spence and the guy on Toe to Toe talked about the sparring and said it was high level, but Spence was getting the better of him every day he saw them spar.

If you don't think Mungia can beat him, what chance do you give Harrison then? My point exactly...

Many people thought it was laughable to think Jacobs could beat G. My point is, I don't know if Mungia can beat Charlo or not. I think it would be an excellent fight while it lasts + it will be a unification fight.

Charlo hasn't even tried to make it, nor has he tried to make the Lara fight, but has been content with fighting Trout and Harrison.

Hurd already unified. Why can't Charlo unify so when Hurd/Charlo meet it will be for the undisputed JMW supremacy?

This is why I feel Jermell is being protected and set up just right

Your argument fails when we consider Lubin. Everybody on that PBC team was expecting Lubin to beat him behind the scenes. There was a lot of push behind that kid. You either weren't paying attention or you're willfully ignoring that.

The same goes for J-Rock with Mall. The twins were not supposed to beat either of those guys in the eyes of many in that camp.

The truth is that the Charlos made it to where there are despite the matchmaking. They weren't anybody's "guy."

Their internet work, KOs, and new talkative personalities have them getting love now. That's the truth.
