*slow clap*Hearn can be as slippery as he wants but it doesn't change the fact that Wilder v Joshua is the money fight in the division, irrespective of how Wilder v Fury does. It is the only fight that heavyweight boxing fans want to see at this point and the longer that AJ goes without fighting Wilder, the more his credibility slides. That in itself proves the value that Deontay brings. Just pay Wilder what he deserves and get it made.
What Amber said. Weak division, but these two guys at least have each other in their prime to stake a claim historically on. That gives them more than either Klitschko or Larry Holmes had.
Just sign the freaking fight. Everyone knows these two have to fight each other. Quit playing up to the press like our opinions matter. Handle the business, make a ton of money for both teams, then let's see who wins.Comment

AJ doesn't need to convince any wilder gombo cos they are on a failed mission. Is anyone aware of how much Hearn has offered Wilder?? When Hearn offered 12.5 million and 15 million Everyman and his dog new about the details. Team Wilder were quick to rubbish it and rightly so.
Wilder fans were infuriated with the derisory fee and supposed lack of respect. Many felt the offer was so low because they didn’t really want the fight. Although there is a supposed percentage offer and in your eyes Joshua is still scared. What exactly can he do to convince you he wants to fight Wilder?
Wilders team was offered % but this time they didn't run to the media to moan. It must be something they are considering, also buying time to see how wilder/fury does.
His gombo fans act like they are not aware. I don't take them serious. Even the casuals already know their antics.Comment

Ppv price is one the problems in American boxing. It's killing the sport. How about do the fight as 50-50, and whoever wins gets 75-25 for the rematch. If that doesn't work, how about offer winner take all. See who really wants it.
Honestly, if Wilder beats Fury and adds the lineal champion title in addition to WBC, I think he is worth more than 35%. Parker got 33%. At least sweeten the deal to 60/40 in Joshua's favor. Flat fees are deal breakers for unification fights and everyone knows it. If Wilder vs Fury does 1 million plus buys, Hearn said they would consider 50/50. If they were smart, they would offer a $20 PPV price like they do in the UK. One million buys easy.
Boxing in American shouldn't have problems doing 1/2mil views for an average boxer considering the population.
Many casuals are interested but the price keeps them away. I think America should adopt UK's pricing scheme for the benefit of the sport.Comment

What makes you think wilder requesting more money is not a duck?I'll type slow so you can understand dip****.
I was responding to Noelanthony's question of what can Joshua do to convince people he really wants the fight. I offered suggestions, 50/50, which Hearn said he may do depending on the PPV sales. I suggested winner take all, which is out there, but would definitely show he is serious and wants it 100%. Notice I didn't even mention accepting a guaranteed $50 million. Joshua and Hearn have been doing damage control ever since ducking that offer.
I then said honestly, offer a fair % instead of a deal killing flat fee. Hearn basing PPV sales on the % he might offer is idiotic. Like I said, if it is a low enough PPV price it will sell BIG, and easily make 1 million buys. It won't make a $100 PPV price like Floyd vs Pac, but Hearn didn't mention the money it brings in. If he was smart, he wouldn't base it on PPV sales, he would base it on how much money the fight generated. Wilder and Fury should offer it to the public at 5 or 10$ PPV price, and get 3 million PPV buys. PPV buys are all different, and it is the money that is important, not the buys.
Besides ppv numbers is good for the sport at large.Comment

I think that Wilder offering $50 million clearly shows he wants the fight, just as declining that amount tells me that AJ didn't. Wilder got pissed off and moved on, and now AJ is fast running out of top opponents, except for Ortiz, who he won't fight for some reason.
My point about PPV is that it should be more about the money and not the buys. 1 million buys at $59.95 doesn't bring the money that 1 million buys at 79.95 would. We are talking about a $20 million revenue difference. If Wilder/Fury set a price at 19.95, I'm quite sure they would hit the 1,000,000 mark.Comment

I agree! You shouldn't have to be rich to enjoy the big fights.Ppv price is one the problems in American boxing. It's killing the sport.
