Wow! What a good match up? My only hope is that it is not a Pay Per View bout but is rather shown on the regular Fox television network instead.

At this point, I am leaning and favoring toward Shawn Porter. I thought he beat him or came very close to beating him the last time they fought.

In addition, given Keith Thurman's nearly two year hiatus from the game; I expect Showtime Shawn Porter to be the sharper and more conditioned athlete of the two.

LOL right. Please lets make Spence vs someone interesting. Mikey is interesting enough for me in this drought for Spence, but please lets do something with a tip top proven guy that everyone will see as legit enough ffs.

And randomly if anyone legit thinks PBC is planning sh^t out like how a promoter would plan sh^t out & just not doing what they do of the cuff like an alcoholic trying to get to work on time they are nuts. I wish PBC blueprinted sh^t out better.

If Spence vs Mikey is a PPV I'd be shocked if Porter vs Thurman isn't.

Agree. I think Porter might be among the worst opponent choices to fight off of a layoff &/or with some rust on you.

Yeah, unfortunately that is so true. In any case, I have to admit that the PBC is putting on some pretty good matchups for 2019 though.

I like it that PBC top guys eliminating each other. It's good for the fans.

I wonder where PAC fits in these match-ups...

No, you don't understand. Shawn Porter has been ordered by the WBC's Mauricio Sulaiman to make at least two mandatory challenges before he can make a voluntary unification bout with Spence or with anybody else.

That is the WBC rules and protocol. Since Porter didn't win his title from the champion but through a vacant title attempt; He is not a liberty to pick and choose his opponents at the current time. The WBC has to do it for him until he completes his two mandatory title defenses starting with Keith Thurman.

Once he completes them, then he will be free to have anyone; Including a voluntary title and hopefully unification bout with Errol Spence, Jr.

Surely this wouldn't be Thurman's comeback fight? if it is I'd favour Porter, he's a horrible opponent even if you're not ring-rusty - the man's like a pit bull.
If it's not until next summer and Thurman has a chance to blow away the cobwebs beforehand then I can only see a repeat of the 1st fight.

Porter is a b1tch... Him and his daddy cried all last year about getting big fights yet sat out and chose not to fight Spence for a title because they only wanted to fight Garcia. Porter acted all tough in the ring with Spence, even to lead up to the fight saying they weren't' afraid to fight Spence next, yet since then they have been quite until now, only to bring up they will only fight Thurman and wait for that fight when Porter could have easily unified with Spence next.
