they should've have asked him who always gets the upperhand in jermell and Spence sparring even though he probably won't give a straight answer, would have love to hear his thoughts on how Spence fares against a champion bigger than him or perhaps his size

We can't get Brant vs. Charlo until months after Charlo vs. Monroe. Saunders needs a fight, Brant could go in Jan or Feb! Brant vs. Saunders would be nice for the undercard of Pacquiao vs. Broner, or Spence vs. Garcia!

But I think the point you're raising probably comes down to a difference in context.

It's kind of like the sparring stories/opinions. That interview from SRL that was posted yesterday is a prime example.
Bundu was on survival mode after rd1 with Thurman. If you notice, Spence isn't hard to hit so fighters seem to think they can just stay in the pocket and throw with him. Spence is a big dude that spars big men so if it comes down to trading in range, Spence will win everytime.

It just adds to the lore of Spence's power. Mikey won't last past the 8th round.

I guess a result like a stoppage comes down to more than just how hard someone hits, accuracy and consistency, and maybe how you feel on the night yourself. I didnt see that interview, but yeah the amount of times one guy says a guys power is devastating, and another says he doesnt hit hard. Another one for you, Hurd, whos pretty durable, says the hardest puncher hes ever felt was Dominic Wade. Wft? 😂

you always remember the one that stops you in your tracks

and that depends on how flush it lands

which likely depends on how many rounds you sparred, and familiarity..... but also styles / how open you are for that punch, etc

Rios has sparred everyone, but insists that nobody hits harder than Mikey

it's a perspective issue..... guys who are very familiar with each other often have a healthy respect for each others power

I'm not surprised to hear some of those comments

e.g. Hurd must have really got tagged flush by Wade..... he probably got caught with one he didn't see coming..... they have probably done a lot of rounds together and Wade just timed a beauty on him, when Hurd was tired, sloppy, or not on point

Yep, lots of factors as you say.Its likely where it lands. Ive held the pads for guys who felt like Tyson, but had few knockouts on their record. But i guess not everyone cn deliver shots they load up.Ive done abit myself and felt like everyone hit hard lol. Maybe i just had a ****t defence. But as Tracy Harris Paterson once said, just because a guy cant punch, doesnt mean he cant punch"..
