I'm pretty sure that you miss something did you know that Golden Boy wanted Mikey to sign a multi-fight deal in order to face Linares, they pulled the same crap when Mikey wanted to face Miguel Cotto.
After Mikey came out in the media and put them on blast, then Golden Boy changed up their tone and tried to scramble for the fight after Mikey already started negotiations for IBF 140 Title.

It was a 1 fight deal but GB wanted a 50/50 split. No way in hell does Linares deserve a 50/50 split. He's a good fighter but he doesn't draw people in to his fights and GB kept shipping him out of the country to fight because he wasn't a draw. I went to his fight at the Forum, we got free tickets and there were a bunch of empty seats and less than 3k people there. Mikey has been bringing in 10k for his fights. There is a reason why GB was paying linares 250k per fight that they promoted.
