Golden Boy needs to take this guy off the card. That slot should go to Ryan Garcia or another up and coming prospect. We know who Lemiux is, no need for more exposure.

Lemiux should be headlining his own cards in Canada against guys like this.

Golden Boy, Main Events, Loeffler with GGG, etc are always willing to put their guys in the fire to make a fight.

Arum needs the odds heavily stacked in his favor. Once he leaves, the sport is better off.

To be clear, I'm not saying Lemuix vs TJ isn't a great fight, I just think it's worthy of being its own card in Canada, as long as you also stack it with others great fighters.

Lemiux is a star in his hometown.

This is a good fight and a lot of people not giving Johnson a shot he has skills. He gave Derevyanchenko a lot of problems but like the Stevens fight (which he dominated) his chin failed him late in the final round of both fights. Lemiuex while a big puncher like those guys get's his guys out early. Look at his record only 1 stoppage after the 7th round and that was against Rosado where the fight was stopped on cuts. He fades late in every one of his fights if he doesn't get Johnson out of there in the first 4 to 6 rounds I can see his tank running out and him being out boxed for the loss. Johnson has the better skills but has been worn down and taken out in the 10th/12th rounds in his losses. Lemieux is a all or nothing fighter does all his damage in the first 4-6 rounds. All his loses are fights that have gone 7 or more where he isn't the same fighter. Johnson has to take him to deep waters and I think he wins and Lemieux has to land that monster shot early because his gas tank says he won't do it late like Derevyanchenko and Stevens did.
