canelo was supposed to be murdered twice....just like andre ward

all 4x we heard excuses and moans and whines....groans and gasps....

Ward was favored twice and the odds were tight on GGG-Canelo twice with Golovkin slightly favored. I think it would be false to say all four fights weren’t controversial with the majority of polls and ringside media reflecting that the decisions in Canelo-GGG I & II and Ward-Kovalev I were wrong despite the more popular fighter getting the decision. The controversy of Ward-Kovalev II being that the fight was factually ended on clear deliberate low blows.

On the flip side there’s many who didn’t think Kovalev or GGG would even win a round or be remotely competitive either. Is that close to what occurred?

the narrative on forums from the fanbases of golovkin and kovalev were that both ward and canelo were scared to death of their opponent and ward prob would even pull out of the fight before it happened....and that both guys were going to savagely end the careers of canelo and ward

i know what you are going to say "blah blah those guys represent a small portion and dont reflect the general public blah blah"....but im here talking about the board fans since thats where we are....

most boxing scribes gave ward full credit for his breakdown of kovalev the 2nd time....it was mostly the internet forum fans crying ...which is what happens most of the time when their "killer" dont get the job done

you have to be an absolute raving lunatic to not think that canelo did well in both fights and had a chance to win both of them.......

perception changes alot.....while the betting lines may have been tight....most considered canelo the smaller man coming up...same with ward.....kovalev and golovkin being the career weight class guys they were with the other guys moving up and facing top p4p guys.....when golovkin looked average it may have played in the judges mind that he was supposed to be better.....same with kovalev....and kov at least dropped ward...but when he couldnt finish him and ward came back and looked good in the 2nd half it may have swayed them

low blows is a cop out...we all know what we saw...kovalev was a finished and beaten man.....it only gives people looking for an excuse just that..just fodder....anyone could clearly see kov was beaten and ready to quit

no sane, unbiased, boxing fan thought neither kov or golovkin wasnt going to win a round...if anyone said it they were trolling the fanbases of kov and golovkin....plain and simple....

meanwhile the kov and golovkin fanbases literally seeth with hate for american fighters...and black fighters....and they called canelo names for years on boxing boards.....they believed 100 percent that canelo was getting knocked out easily....so much that they are still in denial and dont even believe canelo/ggg 2 was even close...lol...which is a sure sign of delusion
