TYSON FURY has claimed Anthony Joshua was once left terrified after being challenged to a street fight by The Gypsy King. Fury, 30, is currently training for his mouth-watering encounter against WBC champion Deontay Wilder, 33, on December 1, at Los Angeles' Staples Center. Many thought Wilder's next fight would have been against WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO champ Anthony Joshua, but it was his countryman who agreed the bout first.

I'd take anything Tyson Fury says with a pinch of salt. He promises to knock everyone out, yet rarely shows any intent to do just that in the ring. Spent over 2 years years promising a "big announcement VERY SOON" before fighting an old CW that nobody had ever heard of. Then there's the whole "uncastrated wild boar" excuse for a failed drugs test. Not to mention the numerous racist, sexist, h0mophobic, etc comments he has made in the public forum over the years - I wonder if there's a section of society (other than Gypsies) that he hasn't offended?

The Gypsy community - who Fury identifies himself with - do not class themselves as British citizens and are quite forceful on this matter, if anything they generally feel more of an affinity to Ireland.
