Comments Thread For: Parker's Promoter: Whyte Needs Rematch To Set Record Straight

Joseph Parker's promoter, David Higgins, has claimed that Dillian Whyte wants no part of a rematch - based on some recent statements that were made in the press. Whyte is back in action on December 22 at the O2 Arena in London, and he's very close to a rematch deal with Dereck Chisora. Parker is back on December 15 in New Zealand, against Alexander Flores.

Parker's in a similar position to Chisora regarding Whyte; both fights were close, but Whyte did win them both. They both need the re-match more than Whyte does.

Whyte did enough to win this, Parker didn't do nowhere near enough. Parker's promoter is reaching as usual.

Problem for team Parker is that having lost his last two UK runouts, albeit narrowly, there's not much of a clamour to see that fight.

Whyte won more comfortably against Parker than he did against Chisora, despite the late knockdown.

That said, if Parker gets a few wins together I wouldn’t mind seeing it again, I think a more motivated / aggressive Parker could beat Whyte on his day.

Imagine this only happens after Whyte’s next AJ shot though.

On 2 of the judges cards Parker would've won if Hearn didn't buy the ref like he always does. The bs kd that wasn't would've swung the fight in parkers favor on 2 cards, because as is common knowledge judges usually give a kd rd to the fighter that got the kd,& if whyte wasn't gifted the kd it would've at least been a MD draw or a Parker victory.

Is ANYONE here actually surprised that Hearns fighter was gifted a free kd? After all thats Hearns bread & butter along with judges gifting his fighters every rd or refs gifting them tko's,I will say this though: Bug eyed Warren is far worse in all those regards, his fighters take hometown decision to new heights.

He went out and fought Parker while waiting thats pretty good considering Ortiz fought Daniel Martz in the same position. More Whyte v Parker ... less Ortiz .. Martz (no idea who this guy is), Fury v Sefri. Fury v Pianeta etc etc

Parker got cheated. He deserves a rematch more than Chisora who was simply on the short end of a razor close fight.
