I agree with you that it'll eventually come to the punches behind the head. Toney's counterpunching and inside game can drive anybody crazy.

I can`t dis - agree. Toney's power won`t bother peter and Toney being short and small at heavyweight will give Peter a rare height, reach and size advatage.....it may take a few rounds to catch him but i expect Peter to stop Toney in 8 rounds!

correct peter's chin is too strong for him too worry about toney's few and far between shots

peter's height advantage will give him leverage on his shots

peter wins, youth, strength, conditioning you name it toney is not going to win this fight

james toneys chances of beatign sam peter are about ten times better than shannon briggs chances of beating wlad.

im tired of the reasoning "peter will catch up to him sooner or later" being used constantly when analyzing any possible matchup involving him. look at the facts. robert hawkins went the distance with sam peter without ever being in any real trouble. he was knocked down in the first and not really hit with another good shot afterward. not to mention pudor and shufford made the distance and i dont need to critique them. his punches can be easily smothered because they take so much time and space to be thrown, toney is ten times the fighter robert hawkins or chalres shufford and he will not allow himself to get hit flush by a slow and plodding sam peter. couple that with the fact that he will have no more trouble than wlad did winning rounds from such an inconsistent fighter as peter.
