I'm going with James Toney. Peter's downfall will be not jabbing and head hunting too much..

James Toney is not serouis enough about boxing and I dont think he wold win because he does not come in a good condition.

If James Toney comes in a good condition and I think he wont repeat the same mistake twice he have the highest possiblity to win.

As for Sam Peters he is still developing and could even change he style of fight

A bit risky to bet right now but you have to wait to judge.

I think this is the type of fight that will be decided on the scales.
If Toney doesnt keep fit, he will be screwed. He cant make any major mistakes.
If Peter works on his D and his body punching, he can win this fight.
Rahman put Toney in the hospital with his body punches.
Imagine what Peter can do if he works to the body effectivly.

Oh boy, well Toney is too slick for his own good but man does he lack disipline. He will teach young Peter's a boxing lesson through out the first 6 rounds. Sam will be throwing blanks, but will eventualy calm down, he will get appropriat advice from his corner and work on Toney's gelatinous gut destroying it with massive bombs. I'm a 'Lights Out' fan, but I feel I'm not being bias by saying that Toney will survive and win by close UD. I aknowledge that Peter's has a punchers chance, but I believe that's it. His boxing skills are seriously lacking and even punchers need some boxing skill to say the least, because I feel just having pop in your punch isn't enough.

In an interesting heavyweight crossroads match that has been talked about for weeks, former three-division champ James Joney will take on Samuel Peter, perhaps the hardest punching contender in the heavywieght division, on September 2nd in a Showtime-televised main event.

Toney, 69-4-3 (43), has twice challenged for a heavyweight title in the past year and a half, beating then-WBA belt holder John Ruiz on points last April (but subsequently testing positive for steroids thus rendering the result of the bout to a 'No Contest') and then holding current WBC titlist Hasim Rahman to a draw this past March. Peter, 26-1 (22), dropped current IBF title holder Wladimir Klitschko three times en route to a close decision loss last September. The native of Nigeria (now living in Las Vegas) has won two bouts since the Klitschko fight.

At 37, Toney, perhaps the most skilled boxer in the division, is 12 years older than the raw 25-year-old power puncher. One possible venue for the match is the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where Toney, a native of Michigan, now makes his home.

Much props to Toney he has balls to face peters. Im rooting for Toney.

Staples center always has a good crowd, its the new Vegas.

i think peter has much better chance than what some of you are thinking... yes toney is light years ahead of peter in terms skills, but peter is the younger, bigger, stronger, more in shape fighter... i think peter can win this fight and will make it at least close...
