But I guess Canelo vs GGG II still left some question unanswered. September 2019 may be the date.


Apart from Canelo I don't see any other money match for GGG.


Jacobs and Andrade are on DAZN so can be made easily. I see unification in March

But Gennady didn’t lose that strap and Danny didn’t beat a Champ to get it , It was taken off Gennady over some IBF stickler for the rules Bullsh.it that decided to follow their rules to the T instead of what’s better for the sport

The WBC saw $ signs and tried to force a GGg/Canelo fight. Was it political yeah was it as f.ucked up as the IBF stripping Golovkin , f.uck no

Gennady got handed the WBC because Canelos team didn’t want the fight when it was mandated they preferred to age Gennady a couple years and it worked.

I’m also aware Canelo got one of his signature favourable scorecards in the rematch and that Gennady wouldnt have the IBF strap now

But the fact is Jacobs ( who I’m a fan of ) got the strap in a cheap way he didn’t beat a champ for it. It’s like the Charles Martin situation. Did Gennady getbthe WBC in a cheap way , yeah to a lesser extent because Canelo was given a opportunity to make the fight and he chose to invent a new weight class , Golovkin got stripped because he was waiting for a huge $ fight against Canelo who popped dirty and delayed the fight 5-6 months, Gennadys team decided it was better to have a stay busy fight against Vanes instead of facing a threat in Devrechenko for no $ with a chance of derailing the rematch , which anyone in that position would have done the same thing
