Idek what this means. "The fight has to play out NO MATTER WHAT". The fight can end at any point when someone has had enough. I didn't see any upside in Terry getting hit upside the head for 4 more rounds. I'm surprised his team did.

You only stop the fight when the fighter health is in grave danger, or he cant PHYSICALLY defend himself properly anymore.
I think thats a crazy way of thinking. "Grave danger". Wtf man. I think if fights aren't competitive at the lower levels they should be stopped as soon as thats obvious every time by the ref. In championship level fights I think the ref should stay out of it, outside of times to obviously stop a fight, & he did in this fight cuz I didn't see any reason for the ref to do anything extra here. But I think ones team should look after their fighter better.

And like I said I just didn't see the point in letting this fight go on after that rough 8th round. He was done massively on the cards. He was hurt. He was cut. He was swole up a lil bit even. He can't KO an old lady with a peg leg. There was no way he was going to win that fight after the 8th round. So I got no problem with a corner throwing in the towel there in the vein of life to fight another day...a day you might actually be able to win a fight.

whats the fucking point? IS, Its a fucking fight! their NO mercy rule here, if that what you want go watch minor league baseball or something. This is a fight that has to play out and its not over till its over.
Sh^t man I don't need to see someone looking dead on the ground to determine the winner.

And I wanna see competitive fights not a guy losing almost every round. Its a 12 round fight, if you can't KO a mfer & you lost 7 rounds you might as well call it in the corner even if you are perfectly healthy, which this cat wasn't, cuz you're not winning this fight so you are just taking punches to the brain for no goddamn good reason.

I think Regis wanted to outbox Terry this fight and Terry has a reputation for being a bit rough on the inside so he boxed. I don’t think he’d take this approach with Ramirez and I think he has more one punch power than Ramirez. I give him the edge

It means exactly what it sounds like "The fight has to play out NO MATTER WHAT"

yes it can end at any point, due to legit reason not cause you have a weak stomach, or worried about the "what if's". IF Terry had enough and wanted to stop then by all means but it wasnt that type of fight and his team and him didnt want to stop (nor should they) and no one around (ref, commision, doctors,Etc) even thought it was close to that type of fight. What you suggesting they should stop the fight what you really are suggesting is a mercy rule and that will defeat the entire purpose of professional boxing.

Again you want a mercy rule lol that isnt professional boxing.

        Terry was good.
his corner thought he was good
        ref thought he was good.
        doctor thought he was good.
        comission thought he was good.
        commentator thought he was good.

but cause you think hes done they should step in anyways and take away any chance of a victory?

Lets just rob everybody of a chance why dont we, Oh you never had a ko after 7 rounds and you losing CALL IT, its over. Oh you got dropped 3 time in the first round, call it, its over.

        again no MERCY RULE!

The corner thinks he can still pull it off, hes in good health (doctors approval), ref sees no danger, Terry is still able to put together an assualt and defend himself, but because you think he cant win they should call it lmfao. smh.

Now we know why Turbo was such a homebody, but Regis is starting to look a little vulnerable. He might be in trouble when he goes to the Hydro.

Played out how I thought it would. Flanagan's tough, works hard and has some skills - but just didn't have enough power to really cause problems for Prograis.

I'm sure you play a lot of video games and think pressing a circle button is somehow related to real contact.

Prograis looked far from stellar. Terry actually stunned him shortly after he got knocked down, or it might have been the 9th after he connected with a nice left hand. Anyway, RP is far from the complete fighter on that showing. Good skills, movement, power n all that but there is something missing.

Gell for someone saying they favorite fighters are Tyson, Duran. And that boxing is ENTERTAINMENT (which i agree fully) Prograis style isnt very entertaining. Great movement, but alot of one punch at a time action. If he had put combos together i think he coulda stopped Turbo. Still like Prograis but have doubts of him winning it all. He NEEDS to throw more. Not jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, one power punch, jab jab etc etc etc
