He's got an 11 fight deal. He's not going to fight top fighters every time, at least half of those fights will be against absolute nobodies, they don't want him to lose or else that massive payout is money spent badly. Wouldn't surprise me to see him fight 2 or 3 world class fighters only in this new 11 fight deal he has, one of which will be a third GGG fight. 11 fights is a lot, most of those will just be to pad out his record against mediocre opposition. Plus canelo is planning to move to super middle and fight who? I hate to use the word 'duck' but he seems to be avoiding all that heat that is seemingly waiting for him at 160. How long ago was it prior to the GGG fight that Canelo was running around claiming to be too small for 160 when he was campaigning at 155 aka Caneloweight. His actions are very clear to me.

The deal is for a minimum of $365mil. There will be incentives built into his contract to fight bigger fights. Percentages of subscribers, Hearn has already said, will be available for Canelo. -
what do you mean of "Bigger" Fights? they don't pay him that if he loses. it's not we will pay you 365 million regardless of if you have 10 losses.the broadcaster wants him to be in good fights that's how they make money. oscar on the other hand would have him fighting lightweight if he could get away with it.Comment

Canelo HIMSELF called to fight Lara and Trout. Canelo HIMSELF made the call to fight Golovkin. Look at his resume, what makes you think all of a sudden he will stop challenging himself? Wouldn't be surprised one bit if he fights the winner of Derevyanchenko/Jacobs in May.
Put some respek on that mans name!Comment

Canelo is better than everyone at 160 adn 168! no matter who he fights it will look like a mismatch.Comment

where did I not give him credit? Where did I say he was scared of anyone? You make it sound like I've insulted Canelo, I didn't. Very strange replyCanelo HIMSELF called to fight Lara and Trout. You said he only may fight 2 or 3 top fighters during the 11 fight deal. Did you not? So why do you think he is going to switch up all of a sudden when he is in his prime right now?Comment

I was impliying that his promoter might protect him from dangerous fight. did i disrespected him from any statement above? This DAZN Deal is a Canelo tour. Not that I'm having a pop, wouldn't be surprised to fight in some strange places, wouldn't rule out at least one fight being held out in Saudi Arabia. Bet the journalists would love it out thereComment
