This is beyond disgraceful, Hearn shouldn't even show up to this, should really be cancelled quite honestly and disperse some of these fights onto other cards. Deplorable blather, awful card and a joke of a location SMFH
Haha never seen you so angry Z. Looks like Hernandez draws big. Wonder if this is more than a 1 fight thing?

I really don't think there are enough fighters out there to satisfy the number of dates there will be with all of these TV deals. There's a strong possibility the US boxing market is going to jump from not enough cards to an abundance of weak as **** cards. The UFC had a similar issue with oversaturation develop over a longer period of time.

You know the card sucks when the best and most meaningful fight on it is Luis Arias vs. Gabe Rosado

Look, maybe that kid will get a lot of those hicks into the building, but I promise you they will all leave once his fight is over. I'm not sure Eddie realizes that. Even if it was a good card, the fans would leave, that's just what you get from US fans with this kind of stuff. If people are showing up to see their local fighter, that's the only reason they are there and they're not gonna stick around for fights they don't care about. Hell, even the Polish fans bailed right after Adamek's fight and that was with only 1 fight left and it was a pretty big one. I saw it personally when I went to Luis Ortiz vs Tony Thompson and half the crowd left after the co-main event.

Regardless, the card is absolute bollocks. People think I'm biased, but I call it as I see it, Eddie normally puts on the best cards but this one is a joke. If Fish Eyes were doing this I'd be grilling him, so Eddie doesn't get a pass. The fact that this went from some PPV type Vegas or NYC card, to Atlantic City to bumfcuk Kansas shows how much they are struggling right now. Eddie badly needs to sign some more guys or work on joint cards with GB or Matchroom USA is going to be in trouble. I would love to see Eddie's face traveling out to this town, I don't think he grasps how remote of a place this is and what it's going to be like getting there. That will be hilarious. Where will they hold the presser and the weigh in? The local diner and bowling alley?

GBP going to DAZN ruined any chance Hearn had of building a solid US stable. If you want DAZN, just sign with GBP. Hearn will have to hitch himself to GBP if he wants that US operation to survive.
I disagree strongly with this. The GBP deal has significantly strengthened Hearn's hand.

DAZN needed a big fish to flex their muscles and establish themselves as a platform for big stars. With Canelo they have done that, without eating into Hearn's budget at all.

There are no details available around the wider GBP deal, but you can guarantee if DAZN are spending 365 mill on Canelo they are not throwing a ****load more money at GBP. Matchroom now have basically their entire big budget to compete with GBP for new signings.

The biggest problem is the lack of available talent plus the fact that Haymon has been successful in convincing his fighters that he can make them more money putting on shows under their own promotional banners.

PBC puts on these type of events all the time, yet not a word of criticism from everyone bashing this one.

So this is what Hearn considers a stacked card? Hearn's stacked cards, the last 2, have been garbage. He's trying to feed the US the same garbage he feeds the UK and expects the US to embrace his garbage cards like they do in the UK.

A nothing, crap town of 6,000 people I'd never even heard of in quite possibly the worst state in the US. The epitome of nowhere, they better hope that Hernandez kid can sell some tickets, because nobody else will be showing up at this card for anything else. Shameful stuff this
He had to actually move the card to Kansas from Atlantic City. I guess no one there was buying that garbage and figured he could move it to Kansas and use Rios as the Kansas boy to sell tickets.

Have you seen the PBC calendar in the last 12 months? It's not close to being anywhere near this. Lara v. Hurd, Jack v. Stevenson, Russell v Diaz, etc. (I could name at least 6 or 7 more elite cards). They have tiered content now. Champion/premium cards, journeyman/contender cards, and prospects cards. The stable can support that.

This is a worse off card than Alexander v. Berto and even that pulled in over 1M viewers and was better than this. This is just plain uninteresting.

Remind who Charlo is fighting next? Prior to Ortiz, who was Wilder fighting again? Who were the last five opponents for the Charlo brothers again? Stevenson prior to Jack? No problem when Garcia headlined against Rios? Or Samuel Vargas?
