I wonder which boxing retiree Miller will entice on two weeks notice for this 'one-man circus show' At least make it a heavyweight with some durability.
Knocking over former cruiserweights is like a light heavyweight knocking over middleweight nobodies. What is the benefit? Can some F#^king tell me, because I can see Miller stepping up one day to face a real fighter and getting smashed because all he's done his entire career is knock over tomato cans.

The epitome of nowhere, they better hope that Hernandez kid can sell some tickets, because nobody else will be showing up at this card for anything else. Shameful stuff this
You’re missing the point of hearns strategy. He is applying the same strategy in America that he hasn’t done in the uk ; move from city to city to get new fans interested. In the uk it has brought many of fans alongside watching boxing on sky (and beyond). It’s also a better way to get sales if you keep going to places which don’t have shows that frequently. We will see how it fairs in America but it’s proven very successful in the uk and is a large contributor to why boxing has improved so much in there last decade

LOL yea thats what it sounds like.

I'm still amazed Oquendo didn't jump at a fight. He's for real about that drug testing sh^t I guess. And since he's like 2-0 or 3-0 cuz of drug testing I guess I understand why, but I really wish I could quit hearing this mfers name.

Man I swear if Big Baby wins this belt on Nov. 17 & then loses it to Oquendo in this long anticipated situation coming to a head I might lose my f#cking mind lol.

Yea I agree. I like Eddie's strategy with mixing sh^t up & going to different places. Throw some hometown guys on the card.

Rios in Kansas is a f#cking given one would think. And no one has put Rios in Kansas in 9 mfing years?!?!? And he woulda sold more tickets in Kansas when he was at his peak then anywhere else he'd have fought I'd bet. Granted the big fights gotta be in big places, but Rios had a bunch of smaller fights over the last 9 years & a nice lil % of them shoulda been in Kansas.

Growing boxers grassroots style in their home city or state is old school boxing promotion 101, but seems like its something people don't do quite as much. Sure there are Wilder & Bud, but there are so many more loss opportunities with fighting guys at home that would grow there base quicker & with more loyalty then putting fights in Vegas & NY all the time (unless the guy is from Vegas or NY).

And randomly I went to a Vegas Mayweather card with Cameron Kreal (a nearly .500 fighter) on it who's from Vegas & the crowd was crazy for him & almost everyone was there for him it seemed. You don't even need to be some crazy talented guy to garner an audience in your hometown I think that proves so it seems like this strategy isn't taken on nearly often enough.

This article is a f.ucking disgrace just pumping the tires of this borderline sh.it card

Describing Adamek as a Polish legend when talking about Millers last fight

Calling this card “ stacked”and will be a “ huge night of action “ is laughable

The Rios /Alvarez fight as a all Mexican clash ( I wasn’t aware Rios was born in Mexico )

If the writer isn’t working PR for DAZN they should be embarrassed by what they wrote

Let’s be honest this card is sh.it overall when compared to what other platforms are we offering as far as class of fighters being showcased and the significance of the fights

            Big Baby / TBA
Rios /Alvarez ( the brother no one cares about)
            Arias/Rosado
            Sheilds
And Nico and Burns showcase fights isn’t a very good card

It’s cool that Big Baby gets a another fight so quickly to stay busy

I’m a Rios fan so it’s good he’s back in action and the Arias /Rosado fight for what it’s worth is a good cross roads fight

But overall a very subpar card that I’m sure will literally bring in a couple hundred subscribers to DAZN if their lucky.

I mentioned it to a guy in another thread, because a bunch of guys after Oquendo turned down the title shot too. It's not that they don't want the fight, but three weeks is insanely short notice to step into the ring with a 300lb quick cat like Big Baby. Fres will still get his shot...just not right away.

3 weeks notice against a fighter they suspect is roided to the gills

                  Isn't Adamek a Polish legend?

Adamek was a bad mfer at his best. He'd only lost one fight on his way to winning titles at 175 & 200 & a HW title shot. He beat a few nice HW's too iirc. And by the time he got his HW title shot he was in his mid-30s & on the downside of his career. Not that I suspect he'd have gotten past Vitali either way, but he's easily among the best Polish fighters of this era if not #1.

You’re right in his Heyday Adamek was legit and I’m not knocking him , sure if you want to call him a Polish legend,f.uck why not but it’s like calling Indongo a Namabian Legend it doesn’t hold much weight overall

But this fluff piece hyping this card was a joke , Beating on a 40+ “ Polish Legend “ who hasn’t had a notable win in over half a decade and at this point is a stepping stone for young fighters on their way up isn’t a impressive feat and shouldn’t be hyped like it is.
