Finkel said what he said, call him a liar not meYou're lying. Finkel wouldn't have set up that Wilder feature in Forbes specifically pushing Wilder vs Klitschko otherwise. There's nothing promoters/managers love more than a big fight where they control both sides. Wilder vs Klitschko for the undisputed championship would be a dream come true for Finkel. He'd have absolutely no reason to not make that fight. All he was doing was waiting until Klitschko's HBO deal expired so the fight could be made on Showtime PPV.
If Klitschko had beat Fury, a fight vs Wilder was a definite for 2016.
Fury got the fight, Joshua got the fight, everyone else Wlad fought obviously got the fight, but not the WBC champ that had the same manager as Klitschko, oh no, then it's all unfortunate circumstances conspiring to deny poor Deontay Wilder his rightful shot at the best HW of the last 10 years or so.
....lolComment

Nothing he said contradicts anything I said. Finkel said Wilder needed two quick defenses before facing Klitschko, which is exactly what AJ did as well.
Fury was mandatory. AJ got the fight after Klitschko had lost and had no belts.Fury got the fight, Joshua got the fight, everyone else Wlad fought obviously got the fight, but not the WBC champ that had the same manager as KlitschkoComment

I know math is clearly not your strong point, but did you know that 35% of 100 million is greater than 35% of 50 million? because the Wilder/Joshua matchup is going to generate a lot more money than Parker/Joshua did ... but it doesn't matter, if Wilder is the superstar you claim and worth 50%, all he needs to do is sell a million PPV's fighting Fury and Eddie Hearn has agreed to do it at 50/50Comment

Oh yeah you're right, AJ with less than 20 fights was ducking Wlad .. except that he fought him and Wilder didn't
AJ wants to be THE champion so he took the fights, Wilder wanted to hold a belt hostage while avoiding serious challenges for as long as possible. Almost 10 years before facing someone decent and again you think it's all down to bad timing and politics?
GTFO I'm so tired of you spinning some silly narrative just because you've picked a side. It's funny how Wilder is only now stepping up .. and by now I mean now that the HW division has a cash-cow, there were no unification bouts before that and Wilder still hasn't attempted to unify in any way.
Cherry-picking a 400lbs drug addled alcoholic womanising psychologically broken gypsy is hardly what I call the actions of a real champion. I hope it backfires but mostly just to shut you up for five minutes. Lineal champ .. HA!Comment

when I talking to the other poster about 35% i wasnt talking about it being a 100 million dollar fight etc.....I know math is clearly not your strong point, but did you know that 35% of 100 million is greater than 35% of 50 million? because the Wilder/Joshua matchup is going to generate a lot more money than Parker/Joshua did ... but it doesn't matter, if Wilder is the superstar you claim and worth 50%, all he needs to do is sell a million PPV's fighting Fury and Eddie Hearn has agreed to do it at 50/50
im talking about a reg fight with reg earnings etc like the aj-parker fight for example...
next time just ask dont ass-u-meComment

why would Wilder vs Joshua not be a 100mil+ fight?
You're talking about a fantasy that's in your mind, we're discussing the realities of whether Wilder deserves 35% against Joshua. Maybe you need to add a roleplay tag to your posts or something so we know to ignore you and carry on the discussion with those whose opinions are actually still based in reality.Comment

Why are you lying about what I wrote? Nobody was ducking Klitschko. AJ won a belt, made two quick defenses, and then fought Klitschko. Which was Finkel's exact plan with Wilder. Make two quick defenses, and then fight Klitsckho. The only reason Klitschko vs. Wilder unification didn't happen is because Klitschko lost all of his titles the same year Wilder won his title.
His last fight was a VOLUNTARY defense against an undefeated King Kong, the boogieman of the division everyone was avoiding.Wilder wanted to hold a belt hostage while avoiding serious challenges for as long as possible
Now he's making another voluntary, against the undefeated lineal champion, who is currently tied for #4 in boxrec. A 6' 9" puzzle nobody has ever been able to solve, who has had two tune ups and has gotten himself into championship shape. Lest you forget AJ fought a rusty Klitschko who hadn't fought in 18 months and in his last fight had looked horrible and lost in embarrassing fashion.
You love AJ. Good for you. I couldn't give a **** about AJ or Wilder. I just wanted them to fight each other because an undisputed heavyweight champion of the world attracts the interest of casual fans who have zero interest in boxing unless the sport has one universal champion.Comment

itll be a 100 million dollar fight when it happens....why would Wilder vs Joshua not be a 100mil+ fight?

let me explain this again.
35% of 100 is not the same as 35% of 50, so what exactly is your basis for him getting a higher percentage of a far greater purse? Even financial experts have said that Hearn offering 40% to Wilder would be incredibly generous given that only Anthony Joshua is generating massive interest in his fights.
Wilder vs Fury isn't even selling the tickets, touts are offloading them at less than 50% purchase price and that was six weeks out from the fight lol, they'd accepted defeat on the overpriced seating within days of snapping up the tickets.
Parker WAS a champion too btw, and had been the main event for a previous PPV vs Hughie Fury, that's how he was able to negotiate up from 20% but it's still not relevant to any discussion for Wilder's percentage because it's a completely different fight with far greater amounts of money in play.Comment
