It doesn't matter that they are the best talent (some are, some aren't) but they won't be the biggest stars because they are not handled right. You can't become a household name fighting once a year.
You can hate Golovkin as a person, as a fighter but nobody should argue about how his career was moved once he signed with K2. And that was built off fighting 3-4 times a year when he was a contender. At this point he is a top ten most famous boxer imo, possibly top 5. 1/ Paq, 2/ Canelo 3/ AJ 4/ insert name 5/ Golovkin?
That is top 5 most famous, not best, not biggest earner.

hbo MADE golovkin a star by pushing for it. golovkin is just another hype job....He isn't as skilled or has even come close to fighters like Andre Ward but hbo SELECTED golovkin to be that star. The question is WHY would they select golovkin to be the star but not push Andre Ward to be the star??

You need to look at the Wilder quote from earlier this week > "my KO record brings me bargaining power" or words to that effect. And even though all his KOs apart from against Ortiz and Stiverne have come against C/D level fighters he is absolutely right - the fact he has KO'd all of them has made him twice the star that he'd be if he was just squeaking buy with UDs or MDs.

Golovkin KO-ing C+ and B- level fighters 20 times in a row and doing it every 3/4 months is what started the hype - not because he is a white guy.

If it was just color they could have chosen Algieri or Joe Smith and had them knock out D level fighters cos they sure as hell werent capable of stringing 20 consecutive kos together against B level fighters.

Andre Ward could have crossed over but skillful as he is, he has a boring style (for casuals) and didn't even fight once a year during part of his prime. Inactivity kills your ability to become a super-star

Arum is smart. Crawford and Lomachenko are demanding those fights, but Arum doesn't want to make them yet. So he's pretending like he's trying to reach out to Haymon in order to make it seem like it wasn't his fault why the fights aren't happening. He's also exploiting the fact that Haymon never does interviews so that he can't come out and contradict Arum.
