This is just a fight to line his pockets somewhat. It has no meaning. I can't see Wilder fighting him again anytime soon and Whyte wants no parts of him. He's better off trying to pursue an AJ bout.

Kauffman is an ok opponent but I would have prefered someone a little higher ranked. Not many available heavyweights at the moment who want to risk a fight with Ortiz.

Looks like there's going to be some decent names on the undercard, but they will be part of one sided fights.
Obviously though, will have to see who Hurd and Joyce face first.

This is more to justify Kaufman's ranking than Ortiz's, not sure what the younger man has done yet to justify his position.
I'd much rather see Ortiz fight Whyte on UK PPV in December though, hopefully that fight's not dead in the water. From what I've read Chisora is being a pain in negotiating with Whyte, so the door's still open.
