Comments Thread For: Canelo May Consider Remaining at Super Middleweight

Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 KOs) made a shocking announcement earlier this month, when he revealed that a deal had been finalized for a move to super middleweight to challenge WBA "regular" champion Rocky Fielding. The contest is scheduled for December 15th, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Canelo wants no part of Benavidez unless it’s the one Crawford just beat.

Smith may be asked to get down to 161 162 until Canelo grows into the weight lol.

Good move for Canelo I suspect all the big 160 pounders will follow him to heavyweight if they have to. But in the meantime these entitled part timers should feel free to fight each other and please don’t make your career all about a fight with Canelo!

168 is his absolute limit. He is too small to go up even to 175.

GGG has options to face Jacobs,Andrade,Saunders,Charlo. All 4 can beat him but he won't get the paydays as in the Canelo fights.
