He was 49 years old by the way, and you initially said he was 53, now 50. You're just a liar who twists the facts to suit his narrative.

Kov was also a 2/1 - 2.5/1 favorite with most sportsbooks, not 3/1...why lie? And maybe you're new to following boxing but most fans seemed to think Hopkins was going to win that fight...he had just pulled off a couple upsets going into it and a lot of people who follow boxing thought he would be too crafty for a fairly green Kovalev.

Also you tried to slip in again that Ward beat Kovalev in the first fight...when you just admitted that wasn't true and you know that it isn't true.
Hopkins did marginally worse than Ward did (first fight) (scores in those two fights should have probably been 11-1 and 9-3 Kov, with Hop and Ward both getting knocked down) with Kovalev...that's embarrassing for Ward not Hopkins or Kovalev.

Anyway I wasn't the one making the initial point about Ward/Hopkins/Kovalev but you seem to struggle with the facts so work on that then we can communicate on here.
How the hell did most fans think Hopkins would win but he was listed as a 2.5/1 (at best. Most sports books had him lower If you google it) underdog ? And I am the liar. Lol

Let me be clear. I read your statements on why the win was solid. I don’t agree with them. He was as you said 49 years old. Kovalev was a feared knockout artist rated above Tavoris Cloud, rated above Beibut paper champ Shumenov. Kovalev was not a guy cruising to decisions. He was stopping mfers brutally. He was the favorite. 2.5/1 at best.

Also I don’t have to slip in facts. I can state them. Ward is 2-0 vs Kovalev. Check boxrec. He came up from 168, had one fight w Barrera, then decisions Kovalev after getting dropped early. It’s on boxrec. Go take a peek. Does this make me a liar ?

He then came back after Kovalev made a massive campaign for a rematch saying how things would be so different. So they fought again. Kovalev got caught w a punch to his jaw. Did the hokey pokey. And got stopped on shots around the belt line that some think we’re low but the ref thought were fair. Stoppage loss. Also on boxrec and YouTube If youd care to go look.

Again, I am simply telling you what actually took place. These are the real, official, scores and outcomes for the fights. I am not defending anything.

But here is the opinion part.

Who deserves more credit ? A guy with a super high KO ratio who failed to stop a great 49 year old 2 belt champion

Or a guy coming up in weight, not a great KO puncher, who got dropped by a fearsome puncher who is also a 3 belt champion and lasted the whole 12. AND WON.

Then came back in an immediate rematch, and rocked this same fearsome puncher w a snack to the jaw, then stopped him on body shots?

In my OPINION the answer is clear. Ward deserves much more props than Kovalev in these two specific scenarios.

And mfers need to learn to respond on forums w o being disrespectful. I didn’t call you a liar or insult. I’m just talking boxing.
