That's no way to measure just how good Torres is yet. Not to mention so many South American fighters come with KO records to the states only to look bad against true competition. Torres needs to take another big fight here if he wants to stay in contentions to get another shot at a known fighter or name. Don't get me wrong, I loved that Cotto fight though I been hearing so much after since then of the guy and just think he's being overrated cause of it.
I dont know what fight you saw, but Paulie never rocked Cotto.

Torres is fun to watch though cmon. He's not that special. He's a pure ****er with little other skills. He stalks you down no doubt and he's good at that, though I can't see him taking on serious class. What really hurt him and wore him down vs Cotto more than any headshots he got hit with, were the body shots by Cotto. Hatton would kill his body, Mayweather would annhilate him Gatti style as long as he doesn't get close to him(he did have decent hand speed inside), and Castillo would annhilate his body too. I think a Gatti fight would be decent though Gatti will be KOed by him. I guess he's just overrated cause of the Cotto fight.
Torres hung with an elite 140 lber and seemed on the verge of stopping him. This was on a few weeks notice, maybe even as little as 2 if I recall correctly. He's definitely something special.

Body shots will wear you out, especially when you've had a short training camp. Torres did not have enough time to build his stamina up to deal with body shots as best as possible. Furthermore, there's no shame in getting hurt from the highly-skilled body puncher that is Miguel Cotto.

You didn't know anything about him beforehand, neither did many of us. All we knew was that he was a KO artist with a dynamite record against mediocre comp. Then he came and proved his worth on the highest stage by giving an top fighter like Cotto a run for his money. There's really nothing to overrate him on...nobody here has said he's going to clean out 140 and then beat Mayweather with 1 punch here.

Cotto was never rocked by Malignaggi. Come on now people...

Paulie did not rock him at all watch it again. He hit him in like the top of the neck and it knocked him off balance. But im not arguing with you you are obviously in denial or something.

Haha, when did I ever begin to argue about it in the first place? You can say it was off balance if you'd like, though I've watched it over and over and it definitely looks like he went ***** eyed for afew moments more than being, "off balance". Perhaps you guys are in denial?
