If you say so. I don't know how beating Thurman in 2019 elevates Manny above Floyd.

My posting that is because Floyd is a top 15 ATG and there is no one Manny can fight now who is in that stratosphere. The same reasoning went in to my telling hugh grant Floyd's win over Manny is the best win either has because Manny is a top 30-50 ATG nd no one is higher than him other than Floyd.

It seems that Manny fans are still not over Floyd beating Manny and are so desperate that they have now convinced themselves there is a way for Manny to be elevated above Floyd.

Just very sad and pathetic.

Keep in mind Manny may not even fight Thurman next. If he does and wins it will be a great win that confirms 2 things:

Floyd is retired and fought an exhibition. As for ATG rankings, if you think beating Thurman elevates Manny over Floyd then that is just delusion rooted in still being upset that Floyd beat Manny.

Floyd has proven he is better than Manny. He earned the ATG ranking ahead of Manny. While its cool you like Manny he can't surpass Floyd unless he beats Floyd.

You just need to accept he is and always will be 2nd best to Floyd. Shouldn't really be this much of an issue.

I think many would disagree with you. You can say that he's ranked higher than Manny but to say that he's on another level over him or that he's so much better is unfair. At the end of the day this is all based on preference and opinion. I honestly don't see Floyd ranked that highly, let alone that much higher than Manny. Manny's legacy will only keep getting better the longer he sticks around and continues winning. Manny is a once in a lifetime fighter who has an astonishing achievement.

In all credible rankings of ATG's he is. The rankings have been posted on this board several times. Just recently espn did its top 25 of the last 25 years (not that espn is the most credible boxing site), floyd even finished #1 there.

How is it unfair Flo? Change it to Floyd and Robinson or Floyd and Ali. All are a top 15 ATG, Ali and SRR are top 3 ATG's. Floyd isn't on their level.

I don't think its right to rank someone inferior above someone for whatever reason. I HATE Ray Leonard more than anyone. I love Hagler and Floyd but don't have them above him just out of spite.

If you don't see Floyd ranked there then I would truly question how you rank fighters. Manny's legacy may continue to grow as he wins. That is fine. That doesn't mean he climbs past all the guys ahead of him like Floyd.

I am tired of hearing about Floyd. Dude is retired and all his fights suck anyway. He sits back and pot shots all night. Makes it dull.
