Eddie really puts the EARN in Hearn doesnt he?! I don't believe a word that comes out of this conniving mans mouth. Anyone who gets booed as much as he does in his own home country has to be a scumbag. Only the real low lifes with no character support and defend this guy. Not saying AJ is guilty by association or anything, I like AJ. But Hearn I could gladly do without.
He's one of our pantomime villains, and yeah it's a British thing
Most of the boos are more for fun than because they genuinely dislike him. These same fans were turning up to his Prizefighter events even though it was 3rd bouts in a tournament format and the quality often left a lot to be desired. He's popular in his own way and certainly liked a lot more than Fwank Warren.
More than fair Wilder has staked his reputation on it doing 2.5 million.
I wouldn't say that. He immediately followed that up by saying, "hey, I'm an optimistic guy, so of course I'm gonna say that. Speak it, believe it, receive it..." Haha. That's how he do.
If Wilder-Fury does 1M buys, Wilder won't need Joshua.
You're right, he could sit on his earnings for a while fighting more opponents of the ilk of Stiverne and Arreola until retiring relatively young for a HW. I hope not as outside of AJ, Breazeale and Whyte have been paying their dues to WBC to get a shot at him as well.

We boo him in the same way we do a panto villain, or a WWE "heel". Have you not noticed AJ laughing when he asks the crowd to show their feelings to Hearn? It's all part of the show and Hearn accepts it as he knows it helps to make him money.
Personally I don't like or dislike the man any more than any other boxing promoter. Every one of them is more interested in the depth of their pockets than the depth of the sport, but they are a necessary evil.

ah you beat me to it
LOL, you both beat me to it a well. I posted pretty much the same reply a few comments up without seeing yours.
yeah because spending 65 million dollars out of pocket to secure a fight is the smartest possible move you could do
It would be hilarious and something Finkel and Wilder would go for IMO surely they can get a discount on some of those tickets especially if touts are already selling em for less than half their face value
If the fight happens it’ll just be 60-40 to AJ, ie what was the sensible thing to do all along going back more than 6 months. All this manoeuvring and bickering to strike a deal that could have and should have been made in 10 minutes or less.
