Yeah, the first few were closer but Murata started to gas and Brant's confidence grew with every round. He started to throw without any concern of what Murata could do. The guy threw over 1,200 punches. It was definitely one sided. I didn't expect it.

He is active and an actual middleweight. Ryota would still beat Vanes.

Vanes was a career 154 lber. He hadn't fought in two years. He lost two of his last three fights. Accepted the fight on two weeks notice. Give Ryota a former mw "champion" a full training camp and its hard to argue against him. g deserves a confidence builder after his last fight, anyway.

confidence builder? almost everybody had him winning both Canelo fights (not me personally). if you look up any polls GGG wins by landslide so majority of fans believe he's 2-0 vs Canelo. his confidence should not be rattled one bit. with Murata deleted out the picture hopefully he faces Charlo in what should be a slugfest until one of them takes a nap.

              Lost all my respect.
              Follow Golovkin's next move.

Murata just got beat, Andrade knocked off the tough no-hoper, and the IBF situation gets settled next week.

Golovkin likely still waits on Canelo, but his real options will be clear by Halloween for the most part.

Team Bullshlt will insist that Gennady is reaching for greatness
I can see Hearn and DAZN putting up a lot of money to get that fight with Andrade.

It's really the only fight that makes sense.

He could probably make $8M. If he were to win, he could leverage that into a 3rd Canelo fight in a unification bout.

I agree that picking Rob Brant, would basically be a cherry pick considering the options.

The loss for Murata erases a GGG fight in early 2019. Sorry "Bob Father," GGG and Murata in Tokyo, Japan wold have been a huge mega fight!

Arum needs to make up his mind whether he believes in Murata’s ability to avenge his loss to Brant, because that’s a fight that needs to happen so that he can let the 2012 Olympic gold medalist win back his title.

Murata’s loss tonight was so one-sided that it would be hard to see him beating Brant in the rematch no matter how any times they fight each other. A second loss for Murata at the hands of Brant would damage his career.

I thought it was a good fight! Classic example of one fighter looking for the knockout and the other fighter just boxing and trying to win one round at a time.
