The war of words have been flying around for the last few days, between high profile boxers Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez, and the Mexican superstar's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya. Mayweather recently took to social media, and bashed Canelo for statements that were made regarding a potential rematch between the two of them. Mayweather won an easy twelve round decision over Canelo in September of 2013.

Forget Mayweather-Canelo II. Oscar and Floyd need to resolve this with fists one more time...in the Octagon.

Floyd Mayweather is petty and jealous. He can't handle anyone else being in the spotlight. That's what this is really about.

So this is why they keep baiting Floyd. They’ve done like 10 interviews about Floyd the last two days and Floyd finally responded. Canelo needs someone to fight to bring in those big numbers so he’s using Floyd name

While it may be true that Mayweather is sensitive and a jealous individual, Canelo/DLH brought up his name first and have brought up his name more in the last few days than Floyd has theirs. End of the day, it will amount to nothing but a few low blow shots from both sides. Gets their name in the headlines for a couple of days and then it will be over.

Maybe Floyd was a little salty but Canelo didn't help by bringing his name up first. As far as Oscar, he shouldn't be talking because he's the same hypocrite who wrote a letter calling mayweather vs mcgregor a disgrace to boxing & begging fans not to buy it but meanwhile there are multiple videos of him trying to land a mcgregor fight for himself or Canelo. He hated on that fight strictly because he knew it was going to outsell Canelo vs ggg and was scared it'd impact their ppv buy rate.

But he just said Floyd hit nine different women lol. Although yes, Floyd does miss the attention, and that is why he announced, on the eve of Canelo-GGG 2, that he might fight Pacquaio again. Canelo may just get his wish of a rematch, because Floyd misses that spotlight too much.
