  • Hearn has made it clear he's not willing to negotiate the Wilder-AJ fight in good fai

His statement that is you want to fight Joshua you must fight him on DAZN is a clear line in the sand that's a roadblock to any serious negotiations. If FOX or Showtime are willing to paymore for the fight the fight should be shown on the station willing to pay the most. It maximizes the revenue for both fighters. Why should both fighters to a paycut to put more money in Eddie's pocket?

Imagine Haymon saying Crawford must fight Spence in Fox/Showtime. Or Arum saying M. Garcia must fight Lomachenko on ESPN. We would be blaming them for putting up roadblocks to the fights.

The spoiled rich kid in Eddie is showing. He was the type of kid who would get that newest game system & invite you over to play knowing he only had one controller and he'd make you watch him play

It has nothing to do with ShowTime (or DAZN) for that matter.

It's which promoter can line up the biggest guarantee.

And that isn't necessarily Matchroom, as we have already seen

This move doesn't surprise me. He never wanted the Wilder fight anyway. Hell, he's been hiding Anthony Joshua away from Deontay Wilder for years now.

Hearns spills the beans at about 2:37.

Tells Charlo "there are no fights for you"

Hearns is acting like sanctioning bodies ordering fights and purse bids no longer exist.

                Hilarious really...

A guarantee from showtime is a guarantee against ppv buys . They'll offer what they think they can whilst recouping money against the overall financials at the end.

If showtime / Finkel / Haymon offer 50 million.. with a percentage of everything it makes over that like they did last time BUT with UK rights to sky.. then I imagine that fight takes place on showtime but would also be in the USA likely Vegas. But what would wilder get? A small guarantee and the rest of the percentage of anything over ? Surely that's money lost for showtime.

If however .. DAZN offer a higher guarantee against subscription buys.. or simply hand over a boatload of cash to both fighters ..with deontay getting much more than the above scenario then it'll be on DAZN.. with the fight in the UK and aired on sky.. which is what Hearn wants.

If you watch the full interview, he says the fight can still happen on Showtime IF Wilder-Fury does more than a million buys. Otherwise Showtime can't match what DAZN can offer.
