I'm sure he will try to sell it differently, but in two years we shall see what direction DAZN heads into.Comment

It makes sense for this fight but I can't imagine Canelo not going back to PPV for cinco de mayo. Maybe the deal is for DAZN to air Canelo's fights 1 week after the PPV like HBO did. This fight he fights on traditional DAZN live but future PPVs they get the rights to his replays and past fights? And Golden Boy is definitely sending the rest of their fighters on DAZNComment

If DAZN did a deal with GB without at least Hearn consent, he can sue.
Same deal with ESPN, any deal with Top Rank consent can't happen since they have a deal to provide boxing content. This is why Main event worked with TR to bring Kovalev/Alvarez 2 to ESPN.Comment

I'm not sure about this. Hearn didn't have any US fighters so why would DAZN give him an exclusive deal off the bat? They are trying to obtain as much sports content as possible and wouldn't tie themselves to one guy. This isn't like he had Canelo/Wilder/Spence/Crawford/etc and had multiple networks after him. They basically gave him a two year trial run to see what he can do with the money and how the product will look. I'm sure Hearn sold them at the fact that he will be able to get the likes of Broner/Wilder/Spence/Charlos/etc, but it was far from a guarantee. Those at DAZN aren't ******. And again, according to Rafael, he had nothing to do with the WBSS deal. He claims he was the "advisor" behind it, but who knows. If DAZN was entering the UK market and Hearn had the Matchroom stable as a negotiation pull especially Joshua, then yes I could see an exclusive deal being given to him. But Hearn coming into a new market with no US names? Hard to believe.

Eddie Hearn doesn't have anything to do with this deal, only his fangirls believe that nonsense.
When has ANY promoter ever been given say so in whether another promoter can have fights on a network he doesn't own?
NEVER, because a network would have to be literal fcking ******s to give a clown promoter with a few euro fighters a deal for a strictly stateside app that allows him to have a network monopoly.
Its even ******er when you consider nobody stateside would pay a subscription just to see AJ & a couple eurobums fighting cans.but these Hearn lovers will do whatever mental gymnastics necessary to believe Hearn runs boxing.
It makes them feel superior to live vicariously through a cum dumpster like hearn.Comment

Without Hearn consent, it can't happen. Hearn has an exclusive contract to provide boxing content to DAZN, not to mention being its programming director of Boxing, not to mention being given a $$$ warchest to provide the content.

Arum has a very unique deal that in no way resembles Hearns, don't get it twisted.Comment

You tell em Cobra! Matchroom Boxing USA and DAZN are not the same. They are two separate legal entities. When you read the Wikipedia article on DAZN; Eddie Hearn's name is not even mentioned among the key people of the company. It's an English subscription based online sports video streaming service. Which started in July 2015. He is neither the CEO or the owner which is Perform Group.Comment
