Foolishly gave up his stranglehold on 122 by taking that fight and now he’s lord knows where and he’s too damn good and dominant (was?) but “boring” to many and good luck getting a crack now...

Put him one of the FS1 cards in January? Or I guess he can be on the UC of the non-televised portion of the Wilder/Fury PPV.

one of the least marketable elite fighters to come to american TV.

literlaly the only thing he had going for him was his "boogeyman" status, and once you get your ass kicked and quit that goes out the window!

he had one fantastic win, a shutout of bigger nonito donaire when he was one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. otherwise his career was a huge, huge let down. and i know this is going to piss some people off, but that is because of his style! if you are not exciting people will not watch you fight or pay you six or seven figures to do it!

Even by nsb standards the change in rigo was quite something. People were keeping him p4p top 3 after years of weak opponents, i remember more than one poster telling me 'hes clearly the best fighter in the sport'. Another eye test hero with a thin cv but everyone was so sure he was this ATG master boxer.Think i did a thread where i said how do we know hes actually that great and i got slaughtered just like i do when i question crawford. A year later hes never talked about and people don't even consjder it a decent win for Loma, who they said was ducking him.

If he was serious about boxing he could make a good run at 126, plenty of great fights there...Russell Jr., Frampton, Santa Cruz. Loma robbed his soul.
