I would like to see him vs Denis Shafikov or even better Jason Sosa for a very good step up test for him before going after the Champions
Why would he fight those guys? They aren't even in the same division. Isn't Shafikov a lightweight?

Shaf went down in weight last year after the Easter fight:

Was going by Boxrec Super Featherweight Rankings...

They have Stevenson is rated #33 they have Shafikov #22 so I it would be a good Step Up with Shaf style IMO to see how young Stevenson deals with that Relentless Pressure

oh I didn't know Shafikov was at 130 now. I assume Shakur will keep fighting featherweights because that's the weight he'll be at when he fights for a title.

Shaf moved down last year, last 3 Fights been at Super Feather

Shakur is still a Prospects was only his 9th Fight so why NOT a fight vs Veterans like those guys Sosa #7 by the WBC and Shaf is #9 so for a Stevenson those are Step Ups as well. If he can go overseas and get a step up vs a quality opponent then that is great as well

Stevenson looked like he out weighed the little old guy by at least 15 pounds

That was a good fight he had this past weekend. Even though the guy hadn't fought in over 500 days he still looked impressive.

Agree, though I think he may possibly even be competitive with Frampton right now too. Carl was on another level a couple years ago but something happened. He hasn't looked the same. Reflexes aren't as crisp. Timing isn't the same. A lot of people haven't noticed it yet, but I think they will next time he takes a high profile fight.
