Was anyone really on pins & needles about that being the reality? I'd tend to doubt it.

Here's hoping Whyte vs Ortiz does happen doe. Thats the more competitive & interesting fight for the future. Whyte is just trying to prove the first Del Boy win wasn't a fluke basically. And Del Boy is so up & down it isn't reallllllllly that compelling of a rematch outside of the fact many, myself included, though Del Boy probably deserved the decision the first time around.

Whyte got his bluff called, now they are backing off, like many of us predicted. Hearn and Whyte saying they would love to fight Ortiz, knowing he probably wouldn't because of being on the Wilder vs Fury card, was all BS, just like about everything else that comes out of their mouths.

Hearn, who promotes both Whyte and Chisora, is not convinced that Ortiz is actually willing to travel over to the UK for the fight. He feels Ortiz is trying to create noise for his upcoming return, also in December.

No Eddie, that is what you are doing each and every time you utter or mentions Deontay Wilder's name as a potential opponent for Anthony Joshua for April 13. You are the one that is trying to create noise for Joshua/Whyte because you know there's no chance of Wilder ever fighting Joshua in April 2019.

Hearn knows Chisora can be robbed but King Kong will knock out Whyte before the 8th round thereby making it impossible to have a Whyte-Joshua rematch.

Its hardly a cherry pick cause many thought whyte lost the first fight

Seems like majority of the U.K fans would disagree with you. You’re a good poster but lately you’ve turned into a troll. If Whyte doesn’t face Ortiz the whole boxing community will know that he’s a fraud and the U.K fans will turn on him. How many fights is he going to coward out of?

The Ortiz fight could lead Whyte to the WBC title shot that
                  he's been whining about deserving.
And you're wrong about the public's opinion of Ortiz.
"Outside of this forum" Ortiz is more respected and feared
than Whyte is. Whyte might be popular in the UK, but
the rest of world generally considers him along the same
lines as Chris Arreola. Whyte is just a tough but limited
brawler who happens to have an entertaining style which
gives him a large fan base in his hometown. He's your new
                  younger version of Chisora.

No way in hell I'd pay for Chisora-Whyte II, but I kind of have a soft spot for Chisora and I'm glad to see him in top ranked fights.
